S**C Action Council’s mission is to serve as a community of ambassadors to S**C It is a family-focused event that sells out two performances year after year.

Our Events:

Nutcracker Tea: November
The Nutcracker Tea is an annual favorite and a perfect way to kick off the holiday season. Children delight in the English tradition of high tea, complete with kid-friendly finger sandwiches, hot chocolate, and dessert, while enjoying an up close and personal performance of excerpts from The Nutcracker, as presented by the Northeast Ballet Company. S**C In Conversation: October
The annual S**C In Conversation event has been dubbed a "day all about me - feed your brain, feed your body, and feed your need for self-indulgence with a little retail therapy, all for a great cause". The events begin with a continental breakfast in the lobby of the Spa Little Theatre. Next a speaker or performer entertains us, often speaking about artists, writers, historical figures or cultural icons. We then move to the Hall of Springs for a fabulous luncheon complete with shopping booths from local vendors who donate a fee to participate to S**C. SPECIAL PROGRAM:

Vivienne Anderson Children's Program: July
The Action Council funds support for this very special program which provides free tickets to a ballet performance to underserved area youth, offering them the opportunity to experience the joys of the arts. The children visit the National Museum of Dance, meet with dancers from the company, and learn about a dancer's life. They view the performance after having been introduced to the story line, choreographer, and composer. It is the goal of the program that experiencing the arts in such a meaningful way, often for their first time, will help these children foster a lifelong love of the arts.

What an amazing day! On October 18th, 2023 at the Spa Little Theater & Hall of Springs, Action Council hosted our S**C in conversation with Julie Scelfo event!

From flower arranging, picking out vendors for a great shopping experience, decorating the stage, the Hall Springs, the raffle donations, greeting each and every one of our guests, etc, Action Council came together, and tirelessly worked to bring together this amazing event!
Thank you to all who attended, sponsored, and participated to support S**C!

June 2, 2023

S**C Action Council - Saratoga Performing Arts Center volunteer fundraising committee. Helped raise $300K that will go to S**C’s Arts Education Program that brings arts education to over 50,000 young persons annually in upstate NY.
