ATTENTION HOMESCHOOLERS: we are hosting a Homeschool Photo Event in September!

🍏 Option of photographer-taken photos or self-taken photos with phone (this is great inclusive option for neurodivergent kiddos) 🧩

🍎 NO sitting fees

🍎 NO additional cost for digital images

🍏 All PreK-11th grade aged students welcome (special Senior event coming soon)

🍏 Setups for this event include one (age-friendly) "fun" setup and one "traditional" school portrait setup

🍏 Photographer snaps will receive two (2) fully-edited digital images (one from each setup) delivered via online gallery. The digital images are downloadable/shareable/printable

🍏 Phone snappers may take as many images possible on the setups during the allotted 10 minute session. The images captured may be shared and printed

🍏 All fall participants will receive a free age-appropriate school supply at the end of their session and will receive priority scheduling for our spring graduation photo event!

As a mom who homeschooled her children for two years during the pandemic, I understand and respect the incredible commitment and dedication from both parents and kids. I’ve wanted to offer something like this for a while now and am excited to finally have the opportunity to do so!

Introducing our Christmas setup for this year… “BOWS of Holly!”

This curated setup is simply perfect for your 2024 Christmas sessions. Evoking all the feels, “Bows of Holly” is swaddled in cozy cream, taupe, and white. Notes of fir, cashmere, and silk also adorn the scene, along with light accents of crystal and gold.

📣 GENERAL INFORMATION: 📣

*The images in this post are NOT Curate images and only depict the general aesthetic of the setup.

*Guaranteed props include: tree, wrapped gifts, basket of shatterproof ornaments, seating option, and mirror. It is the sole discretion of Curate how to detail/decorate the props, as well as, change props based on circumstance. However, any changes will be announced in a timely manner. Renters are allowed to bring in personal props, but Curate is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

*As always, PETS ARE WELCOME on this setup.

📣 ATTENTION: The back room (AKA the "Groom's Chamber") will be unavailable to shoot sessions in starting Monday, July 1st-August 1st so that we may utilize the space for storage during the basement glow-up.

Congratulations to Samantha Nesse (Samantha Nesse Photography) on winning the first annual Curate Photographer of the Year!

The photographers nominated for this award were top renters during the course of 2023 in several categories such as (but not limited to): volume rented, care to the studio while renting, cooperative marketing, and creative usage (aka, how they “curated” the space).

Sam is probably one of the most ambitious people one will ever meet and she always delivers! Sam is a “go-getter” and is an inspiration to central Minnesota small business owners—especially, female-owned businesses. Curate is about community over competition and Sam continually manifests that in the studio through the many cooperative events she hosts here, from headshot socials to styled shoots. Sam truly exemplifies Curate’s mantra “empowered women empower women.” Congrats Sam!

We tip our hat to our runners-up, Ashley Thiel of Ashley Thiel Photo and Kayse Wieneke of Rose Quartz Photography. We sincerely appreciate their contributions to the studio over the last year and look forward to their creative curation in 2024!
