The Inaugural Pullar Bear 5k, hosted by the Yooper Running Company, is set to kick off at 9am this Saturday, November 23rd. The race starts/finishes at the historic Pullar Stadium in downtown Sault Sainte Marie. The address is 435 E Portage Avenue. Pre-race packet pickup begins at 7:30 and goes until 8:30. Make sure to participate for hot cocoa and a chance to win one of the many awards!

The Memorial Day Observance Parade will be held at Thursday, May 30th at 7 p.m. the parade will line up at Pingatore Cleaners in Downtown Sault Ste. Marie at 6:30 before proceeding to the Chippewa County Courthouse lawn at 7.

The parade lineup is next to Pingatore Cleaners at 6:30PM with the parade beginning at 7:00PM.

Please join immediately following the parade at the Chippewa County Courthouse lawn for the wreath-laying ceremony to honor the Veterans of Chippewa County. The Vietnam Veterans of America honor guard will do the 21-Gun Salute and Taps. The Chippewa County Veteran Service office will also be available to answer questions about the services provided to the Veterans of Chippewa County.

Come support the Lake State Men's Basketball and Hockey teams at the Taffy Abel Arena this Saturday for the Laker Watch Party! The games start at 12pm and 8:07 pm.

Join us at Taffy Abel Arena for a Laker Watch Party on Saturday, March 16th, as our men's basketball and hockey teams compete in the postseason! Doors open at 11am for an action-packed day. The Laker Men's Basketball team tips off against the Walsh Cavaliers at 12pm in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Later, at 8:07pm, the Laker Hockey team takes on the Bemidji State in the CCHA Playoff semifinal round.

Enjoy open skating during and between games, and don't miss out on the concessions (lower level concession stand - open until the start of the 3rd period of the hockey game). Additionally, at 5:07pm, catch the Michigan Tech vs. Minnesota State game. The Watch Party is sponsored by the Division of LSSU Student Affairs.
