Let’s talk venue coordinator vs. day of coordinators.

We have very different jobs. The venue coordinator works for the venue, their priority is the venue, they oversee the set up and breakdown of venue rentals, if they serve food they ensure the food is prepared, they oversee venue staff and confirm staff is where they need to be to make sure the everything is taken care of from the venue with your requests in mind.

A Coordinators main focus is you, your fiancé, your day! They bring your vision together. They make sure food comes out on time, they make sure the flowers are placed where you wanted them, they confirm layouts and seating charts. Coordinators oversee all deliveries and vendors. We confirm arrivals all while making sure you, your fiancé, family, and wedding party are in the right place and on time.

Now I’m not saying you don’t need a venue coordinator, what I’m saying is make sure you have both!! Venue coordinators make my job easier. They set up and we put the finishing touches. They assistant is so many ways and definitely don’t get the credit they deserve.

Keep this in mind whenever you are picking out your venue for your wedding and reception.

Unfortunately RSV, Covid, and the stomach bug hit our house hard this week. We are all recovering and on the mend but sadly quarantined at home.

This past week has been a week of perseverance. Day after day I received bad news and all I could do was take a deep breath and push through it. My husband and Eleanor needed me and I had many jobs to complete. I would be lying if I said I am not upset, this is my busiest time of year and Eleanor’s first Thanksgiving, I was looking forward to completing my work and spending time with family but God had other plans. I have to continue to believe his plan is bigger than any plan of mine. So to all the mamma’s and daddy’s out there going through something similar I feel for you. Stay strong, we will all get through this.

What a beautiful day for the sweetest couple. When I started working with Dani and Jeff to build their timeline of events, Dani told me all she wanted was an intimate dinner surrounded by their family and friends. Last night was just that. The day was perfect and their wedding was nothing short of idyllic.
