Let’s talk venue coordinator vs. day of coordinators.
We have very different jobs. The venue coordinator works for the venue, their priority is the venue, they oversee the set up and breakdown of venue rentals, if they serve food they ensure the food is prepared, they oversee venue staff and confirm staff is where they need to be to make sure the everything is taken care of from the venue with your requests in mind.
A Coordinators main focus is you, your fiancé, your day! They bring your vision together. They make sure food comes out on time, they make sure the flowers are placed where you wanted them, they confirm layouts and seating charts. Coordinators oversee all deliveries and vendors. We confirm arrivals all while making sure you, your fiancé, family, and wedding party are in the right place and on time.
Now I’m not saying you don’t need a venue coordinator, what I’m saying is make sure you have both!! Venue coordinators make my job easier. They set up and we put the finishing touches. They assistant is so many ways and definitely don’t get the credit they deserve.
Keep this in mind whenever you are picking out your venue for your wedding and reception.
