Join us for Silent Sky on April 11 and 12 at 7:30 p.m. and April 13 at 3:00 p.m. at the Jenkins Mainstage on the Armstrong campus.

Silent Sky tells the story of an astronomer forgotten by history whose passion and dedication led to the discovery that the universe is comprised of much more than just our galaxy. Beginning in 1895, Henrietta Swan Leavitt, the great star-gazer who dreamed of finding answers and purpose amongst the stars, left home to work at Harvard in hopes of making great discoveries at the premier space research institution. There she met Williamina Fleming and Annie Jump Cannon. Their steadfast commitment to astronomy built the foundations necessary for breakthrough discoveries in their field and paved the way for the future of women in astronomy.
