Thank you to Beyond Exceptional Dentistry for inviting us as their guests to the Savannah Music Festival Spring Flong! Dinner and drinks at the Kehoe Ironworks followed by a trolley to the Lucas Theatre to see Samara Joy, 2023 Grammy Award winner for best new artist. So unexpected, so fun, so grateful.

One of two designs at the best eye care shop in Savannah. Late afternoon downpour and bright spot lights combined to make for less than great color pics... b&w overcomes some of the issues and creates a "vibe," one I like! Will just have to try again for better color images.

I have neglected posting my work for far too long and hopefully this evening's post starts the process of breaking out of that slump. This blotchy beauty was delivered to the beautiful space that is Forsight Eyecare and Eyewear, . While they end up perched in the windows facing MLK, photographs are best taken in front of their rose pink velvet Victorian couch and the moss mural by . Please share with your orchid-loving Savannah friends and neighbors. Orchid contracts come with maintenance and replacement during the contract period.

The latest arrangement for Beyond Exceptional Dentistry features a "swan" orchid, most likely Phalaenopsis Sogo Yukidian "V3". Design materials were chosen to accentuate the lines of the orchids and the drip glaze colors of the container.

A floral design can embody a season without drowning in cliches. I'm all for including holiday ornaments, flocked pine cones and gold painted branches but sometimes you can make a subtler point. Bleached palm fans, poppy pods and leafy branches blended with the marblelized container and amazing white flowers with a rich pop of color at their center will welcome clients for their winter dental visits to the office of Mark Dye, DMD.

In sympathy to a mother for the loss of a son, this piece is an informal yet elegant study of white on white. The usual airplants were not included to simplify the design and care requirements.

This lovely white on white is design resides at Mark Dye's Dental office on Eisenhower. It is one of several post-surgery arrangements delivered recently as I play catch up after being under orders to not lift anything over 10 lbs for a week. Tomorrow is my follow appointment after an ablation treatment for reentry tachycardia which, while recently diagnosed, has been an issue for a number of years.

A little surprise! During my maintenance visit today to check on the arrangements at , I found this Tillandsia ionantha blooming in the newest arrangement. Designed and delivered a few weeks back, the arrangement with this little plant is enjoying the view onto MLK. The two arrangements will be designed to compliment each other, but not to be identical. Here's to more happy surprises!

Every now and then I find new and interesting materials to include in my arrangements like these bleached palm fans and, well, not sure what the white "cups" are. From early March, this arrangement for the admin office was photographed in front of one of the numerous and beautiful pieces displayed throughout the facility. This multi-branched Phalaenopsis with pale yellow, red flecked flowers was arranged with Natraj branches, dried bright yellow Craspedia, okra pods, live Tillandsia and more.

Back in February, asked to move their arrangement to one of their large windows facing MLK Blvd. In prior months, they had already been moving the arrangements near the store front to help the orchids get appropriate light during closed days. It made a big difference in flower and bud retention. Now they will get that lovely late afternoon light every day! Look for an upcoming post on the addition of a second arrangement in this wonderful space. AND, if you are due for a check up and some very fresh frames, go see Dr. Morrow and her wonderful staff!

These speckle-flowered plants are so nice, I used them again for the current refresh for ! I swapped the bamboo stakes for these graceful bleached branches. The gorgeous moss wall of is a perfect partner in this wonderful businesses' space. Lovely, dark, reticulated (cross-hatching) AND peloric! This different flower was paired with dark-stained Kuwa branches, Scabiosa seed heads and a fun-patterned container. designs are beautiful and identifiable. Stand out from the crowd with us!

Early January brought a new design to the lobby of the Mark Dye, DMD facility. A pink-splashed pale yellow with striking branches of fantail willow in a geometric container make quite a statement! DM to get a live statement piece of your own from !

The last of four arrangements starting of 2021 at , this one is with classic white orchid. Two Tillandsia abdita provide a red pop and T. ionantha adds a tuft of fuzzy cuteness among the mix of natural branches, okra pods, mini lotus pods and marine shells. All are carefully chosen to create shape, line and interest. A similar creation could be yours!

Numero 3 for the New Year at . I love these flowers in dusky pink. I actually tried a color identifier app... the top suggestions were "blush" and "cadillac"... um, dusky pink it is! The in betweener colors always draw me in and hopefully work their magic on you as well.
