✨🎄 Community Love & Holiday Lights 🎄✨

We are beyond grateful for the incredible support Protea Farm receives from our amazing Saxapahaw community. This year, our holiday lights and decorations wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication and talents of two wonderful people: Nancy and Joseph.

Nancy’s flair for design brought a beautiful, festive touch, while Joseph’s advanced geometry and architectural expertise took the display to the next level. 🌟 The result? A magical, Hallmark movie-worthy holiday scene right here in our small town!

🌿✨ A Florist’s Favorite: Star of Bethlehem ✨🌿

One of my all-time favorite flowers to use in arrangements is the beautiful Ornithogalum dubium ‘White’, also known as the Star of Bethlehem. Its long-lasting nature (3-4 weeks!) makes it a dream for creating arrangements that stay fresh and vibrant. 🌟

What truly sets it apart is the continuous blooming of its buds. As some flowers open, others wait their turn, creating a dynamic sequence of fresh blooms that keep arrangements looking lively and interesting day after day.

Native to the Cape Province of South Africa, this bulbous perennial comes in a range of stunning colors, but the white variety holds a special place in my heart. Whether it’s for a wedding bouquet, a centerpiece, or a casual floral display, I find myself reaching for it whenever I can.

We had an incredible time at our floral design class this weekend! A wonderful group of talented ladies created stunning harvest bloom centerpieces—just in time for Thanksgiving! 🍂🦃

The response was overwhelming, and we even had more interest than our classroom could accommodate. A heartfelt thank-you to The Eddy for graciously sharing their space with us - It made the event even more fun as people were able to grab something delicious to eat and drink as well! 💐💛

We started with some Chi Gong moves to ground ourselves, setting the tone for a truly *transformational* experience. The energy in the room was incredible—so uplifting and filled with love. 💖 After our guided meditation, everyone enjoyed a peaceful tea session and received gorgeous bouquets to carry that energy home. 🌿🍵 The highlight? Pulling daily intentions from the amazing *"Your Nature Oracle"* by the inspiring @heatherwaxman. Each card was a deep connection to our inner world.
