7 years ago I was driving back to Chicago from a DJ conference with Daryle Rodriguez. I told him, I could build a better mousetrap. For 7 years, I have been building the MarqueeShow and this year I have three of the most iconic DJs in the country as a part of the 2024 show June 24-27, 2024. Bad Boy Bill, DJ Skribble, & DJ QBert are all legends. In addition to these three nationally known DJs, I have the good fortune of having some of Chicago's favorite Djs also a part of this year's show. I can't thank Frankie Rodriguez, Tim Schommer, Terry Hunter, Kenny Jason, Mike Wilson, Georgie Porgie, Vince Garcia aka Dj Flipside, and Jay Djspeed Martinez representing Chicago as a part of the show. Jason Roth & Lance George have been helping me make all of this happen and our show this year will be legendary.

I am only mentioning my Chicago DJ family in this post but I will have more gratitude posts coming soon very soon for my national DJ family. I know that it takes a village and my goal is to help as many people as possible within the industry that I love so much.

Kenny is known as the “first to do that” in many catogories of the DJ world as we know it today. Kenny’s radio mixes and re-production of music hits have been Syndicated Globally continously since 1976 Kenny’s Syndicated Mix show can be heard on over 100 radio stations across the United States including radio in all the top 10 market shares. Kenny is also a multiple "Battle of the DJ's" Winner Including Billbord Magazines "Best DJ Award" Kenny is An original member of the legendary "Hot Mix 5" DJ team that was built around "Kenny Jammin Jason" Kenny has written and produced iconic House tracks that are still being played in the clubs and mix shows globally, including one of the biggest House music anthems "You Used To Hold Me" by Ralphi Rosario & Xaviera Gold written, produced and mixed by Kenny Jammin Jason.

The city of Chicago has honored Kenny with a street named after him called "Kenny Jammin Jason Boulevard" The city of Chicago has also honored Kenny with a street named after the ground breaking DJ Team The Hot Mix 5 called " Hot Mix 5 Way" The city of Chicago also honored Kenny’s first record label that he was signed to, the iconic House music label "DJ International Records" with a street.

Kennys unique style of mixing began at an early age of 15 when he was a Drummer in the High School Band learning about beat and key matching. Kenny started applying those skills 49 years ago to the turntables by manipulating the vinyl records live that included Re-mixing and looping the back of the song to the front, and also adding custom intros and outro's including breaks. Kenny also started incorporating drum machines and keyboards that were played over songs live while performing in the club's DJ booth. His exclusive style of mixing included seamless beat matching transitions from one song to another. His remixing skills are performed live while his choice of music selected showcases his ability to entertain audiences globally. This grants him the coveted title of "The Godfather Of The Hot Mix"
