Charlene Shortsleeve has been a pivotal figure in Albany’s art and music scene since 1979. As creative director of “288 Lark,” she hosted acts like 10,000 Maniacs and Goo Goo Dolls. She founded QE2 nightclub, a hub for punk, alt-rock, industrial, goth and poetry, featuring Sonic Youth, Marilyn Manson and Allen Ginsberg!

Brian Melick is a musician, educator, author, composer and entrepreneur known for his innovative percussion techniques and integration of diverse world music traditions. He has been the featured recording artist on over 450 commercially released recordings, including seven solo projects like “Percussive Voices” (Hudson Valley Records), which debuted at #23 on the World Music Chart.
