Troy native Nick Brignola was a well-respected baritone sax player in jazz, as well as a band leader. He shared the stage with jazz greats including Phil Woods, Woody Herman, Chet Baker and Pepper Adams. He won DownBeat magazine's International Critic's Poll as ''New Star'' in 1959 and later topped many annual DownBeat and JazzTimes critic and reader polls as “Best Baritone Saxophonist.”

David Alan Miller will be inducted into the 2024 Eddies Hall of Fame on Monday, March 25 at Universal Preservation Hall!
Seven-time Grammy nominee David has been music director and conductor of the Albany Symphony since 1992. During his tenure, the ASO has released more than 30 albums, most featuring recent American music; two have won Grammys. David has guest conducted with most major U.S orchestras, as well as many in Europe, Australia and the Far East.

The late Pauline Oliveros will be inducted into the 2024 Eddies Hall of Fame on Monday, March 25 at Universal Preservation Hall.
Pauline, originally from Houston, was a Distinguished Research Professor of Music at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for 15 years and founded The Center for Deep Listening. Felicia Collins - 2023 Eddies Music Hall of Fame

Felicia Collins grew up in Albany’s Arbor Hill, acquiring her first guitar at the age of 12 from a pawn shop and teaching herself to play. She is best known for her role as guitarist and vocalist in Paul Schaffer’s celebrated “Late Night with David Letterman” band for the show’s entire run (1993-2015) on CBS.

Sister Mary Anne Nelson, CSJ, is among eight 2023 Capital Region Thomas Edison Music Hall of Fame inductees being honored Monday, March 27 at Universal Preservation Hall!
Sister Mary Anne founded and led The College of Saint Rose's Music Industry program for 49 years, retiring in 2021. She was responsible for steering the program towards a greater focus on popular music. Her vision put Saint Rose on the map as one of the top U.S. music industry programs as recognized multiple times by Billboard magazine.

Smokey Green - 2023 Eddies Hall of Fame
Congrats to Smokey Greene, who is among eight 2023 Capital Region Thomas Edison Music Hall of Fame inductees being honored Monday, March 27 at Universal Preservation Hall!
Smokey remained active in country and bluegrass music for nearly eight decades as a banjo, guitar, mandolin and fiddle player, as well as a vocalist. He owned his own music club, toured with his band the Green Mountain Boys in the 1970s, worked as a country radio DJ for two decades in Glens Falls and founded a bluegrass festival in Corinth.
