Rob and Clarissa are the owners of The Oaks at High Hill which started as a project in 2016 while the couple were looking for the perfect piece of property to create and build a wedding venue. "It took us a long time to find a piece of land with the right characteristics. A hilltop site that faces west towards the sunset and overlooks a creek doesn't come on the market very often".
Clarissa grew up in Weimar and studied marketing and business. Rob grew up in London, England and studied revenue management, hospitality and business. After backpacking for nearly two years across 70+ countries and spending a year in Australia, they decided to call Austin home. Clarissa began her career in event management at the Westin Galleria and Westin Oaks in Houston as Event Manager working up to a hundred events a year. After several years in the hotels she moved to a software company as a Senior Events Marketing Manager planning and organizing events all over the world. Rob has spent over ten years in the hotel industry and currently works for Booking.com as the Global Travel Manager for North and South America. "It's been a lifelong dream to open up our own business and be embedded into the local community. We feel privileged to be here in this part of the world and could not have done it without the help from friends, family and the people of Weimar and Schulenburg.
Rob and Clarissa Marshall live in Weimar with their two children, Finley & Joe and their three blue-heelers, Woody, Gus and Coco.
