Thank You for a Wonderful Scotts Hill Appreciation Days!
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who came out to support the 42nd annual Scotts Hill Appreciation Days, hosted by The Scotts Hill Downtown District.
A special thanks to our committee members—Hannah Groom, Jessica Sanders, Harley Martin, and Lindy Kirk—whose tireless work made this event a success.
We deeply appreciate all the vendors who braved the heat, as well as our amazing entertainers: Bigg Vinny, The Hunt Pearson Band, Clayton Armstrong, and Wallace & Company. A huge thank you to Daryl Perry for the excellent sound production, our pageant judges for their outstanding contributions, and the incredible sponsors who made it all possible.
We’d also like to recognize Steve Dickson, Johnny King, and Mr. Daryl for preparing the park for the festivities, Travis Dunavant for coordinating the “Touch a Truck” event and capturing great drone photos, and Officers Tyler and David for ensuring everyone’s safety throughout the weekend.
Special thanks to Clayton Armstrong for managing our electrical needs, Tiffany McCormick for serving as our Friday MC, and Richard Moiling for handling Saturday’s events. We are also grateful to Angela Martin for capturing the event as our photographer and Susan Baker for her invaluable help behind the scenes.
A big thank you to Tara, Brittany, and Sara at City Hall for taking on many tasks, and to David Austin for providing us with historical insights. We appreciate Adam Scott and the SH Fire Department for providing first aid services, as well as Steve and Sheila for coordinating the parade.
A shoutout to Matt Sanders for cleaning up the park after the festivities, Garrett and Tim Buffalo for leading us in the National Anthem and prayer, and Hannah Mays for her beautiful performance of the National Anthem. Our 4 high school volunteers were absolutely amazing! We also want to recognize the American Legion for the opening ceremonies and Mayor Woody Capley for his unwavering support.
Our community is truly amazing, and we are so thankful for the love and support shown this weekend. We look forward to planning next year’s big event, which will also mark Scotts Hill’s Bicentennial celebration. Stay tuned—big things are coming!
