Chickens are gross! I mean… I love my girls. I am not really a crazy chicken lady- these are not chickens with names, or chickens for snuggling here… the chickens and I, we live a life of mutual respect for one another. Except this. I cannot respect this. 😝

🍎 The Second day of our final camp for the season has come to a close! We have had SO much fun meeting new kiddos from across the county and the neighboring ones. What a blessing it is to share precious moments of their summer with them 😍

Today we spent our day creating with cucumbers🥒, making vinyl sticker art, caring for our pasture pets🐮🐐🫏, loving on the cats 🐈, making fruit kabobs 🍍🍓, learning to sew 🪡🧵, painting rocks 🪨, having a food fight and more. I think the kiddos enjoyed their day, despite a pop up storm ⛈️ All in All, the smiles say it all! 💗

🍎Our first day of Animal Care & Craft camp was full of challenges and adventures!

🥚Kiddos did an amazing job creating some safe transportation options for our sweet baby eggs in the egg drop challenge 🪂

👨‍🎨we let our inner artist have some fun sculpting with clay and creating some beaded wares

🍓🫐our snack today was a tasty frozen smoothie and popcorn 🍿

🥒🥕The barn babies loved to taste a variety of garden veggies 🍅

💦🔫we cooked off with sq**rt guns and water tub obstacle course with egg balancing fun 🥚🥄

🎈Balloons powered our afternoon crafting creations 🤩

It was a fun day with this group of kiddos! Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings! 💗

🍎Today the spring babies and I set up for an employee appreciation event at Family & Children Services in Kalamazoo. It was a hot 🥵 but rewarding day honoring some hard working folks that have more than earned a bit of pampering 💗

I need to ask- where do you all keep your fresh garden veggies?! Any genius storage ideas???

Things on the counter drive me absolutely crazy! But, this morning it feels like a reminder that our yard is providing an abundance and we are meeting our goals…. That’s what I tell myself before I inevitably reorganize it 30 times today… 🙃😜
