Scottsdale School of Ballet

Scottsdale School of Ballet A quality ballet school located in the Scottsdale Airpark featuring master ballet teachers and training for students from age 4 through pre-professional.

About
Directors Sibylle Acatos-Dadey and Donald Dadey's, love of ballet compelled them to open Scottsdale Dance Academy —now Scottsdale School of Ballet —in 2003. Throughout the years, SSB has developed a curriculum that is focused on building technical strength, flexibility, and a love of dance, as well as nurturing artistic development. While the school’s programs are designed with the serious b

allet student in mind, SSB attracts students of all ages, with varying degrees of interest and talent, who wish to pursue dance instruction in an inspiring, enriched learning environment. Our school’s Program consists of Elementary, Junior, and Pre-Professional divisions. Each is intended to challenge students and support their physical, artistic and emotional development consistent with that level. Classes promote a focus on clarity of position and quality of movement, to help strengthen and perfect ballet technique. For more information on our currilculum, go to the Curriculum Page. As the directors have again engaged a world class faculty for this year, our hope is that each student will excell in their level. We offer a Recreational Program for the upper level studnets as well as an Adult Program, for those who wish to develop strength, and flexibility without too demanding of a schedule. Please go to the links at the left for information on class levels and times or to see directions to our studio in Contact. We encourage everyone to sign up for the Scottsdale School of Ballet newsletter. The newsletter is a great way to stay updated with the latest news, performances, schedules and events. In addition to the solid dance curriculum Scottsdale School of Ballet offers various performance opportunities to our students.

Directors Sibylle Acatos-Dadey and Donald Dadey are happy to announce that Scottsdale School of Ballet, will be open for in studio classes on Monday, August 17th. Wow, this is our 17th season, and we remain positive for the future! We are happy to welcome all new and returning students to the 2020-2021 season. We know that despite this current situation, we will continue to inspire, motivate and challenge the SSB students to be their best.

This year, you will see all of the familiar faces with the SSB Faculty, Sibylle Acatos-Dadey, Donald Dadey, Paola Hartley, Cece Huffman, Julia Chacon, Kelsey Kroll, Rebecca Boizelle and as always, our pianist for the Advanced level classes, Amanda Hidalgo. Feel free to peruse the bios of our faculty by going to the www.scottsdaledance.com/faculty page.

We hope that everyone is staying safe and we want all to know that the safety of our staff and students is a highest priority for us. We will continue to follow all practices, policies and procedures as recommended by the CDC. and other health organizations. By implementing safety measures against the Covid-19 virus, we feel we are providing a safe environment. You can access these safety requirements for students at our website www.scottsdaledance.com.

We are ever hopeful for our students to perform and although most theaters are closed through December 2020, we will continue to explore options for parents to see a presentation of the SSB students in December and again at the end of the year in May as has been the tradition of SSB since we first opened our doors.

We hope if you are not currently enrolled in SSB, that you will take advantage of a free trial class. We are sure we will be a good fit for all the dance needs of your child.
