Happy Birthday to our incredible Lead Planner, Alicia 💛

There are lives being lived on the other side of producing wedding days — real hearts, real stories, real strength — and Alicia embodies all of it so beautifully.

I’ve watched her grow and flourish in ways that have truly inspired me. She’s navigated shutdowns when weddings were canceled just days before due to the pandemic. She’s experienced unimaginable loss — losing her dad on a wedding day — and somehow carried on through the rest of the season with grace, strength, and a heart full of love.

She’s welcomed two beautiful babies while being part of our team, and she’s even rocked out wedding days nine months pregnant. Through every season, she’s shown what it means to show up with joy, resilience, and purpose.

Alicia has completely transformed the trajectory and growth of J.Starr Wedding Company. Her dedication, creativity, and love for our couples shine through in everything she does.

Those who know her know the kind of light she brings — joy, laughter, hard work, and heart in every sense of the word. I’m endlessly grateful to not only have her on our team but in my life.

Waking up this morning on the other side of our team producing five incredible wedding day experiences in just 48 hours.

Old me would’ve been a nervous wreck—the what ifs, the trust required, the weight of responsibility.

But not this weekend. Knowing we had fully staffed teams, capable and experienced lead planners, polished paperwork, strong vendor partners, and full-service venues… we were set. And it only took 14.5 years to get here 🤪

To my Lead Team (both on the field and on emergency backup): THANK YOU. You are the real “Starrs.” Without you, there’s no way I could sustain what it takes to stay sane in this industry.

To our venue partners—you are the foundation of every successful wedding. That’s why we now exclusively serve full-service properties.
