Lou Harrison orchestrated his Organ Concerto with a heavy constellation of traditional and homemade percussion instruments, including large plumber’s pipes and sawed off oxygen tanks. This rarely performed work is a unique synthesis of Indonesian gamelans, European organs, Ancient Greek scales, and an adventurous West Coast spirit. It will be performed alongside other works for percussion and organ by Steve Reich, Jacob Adler, Raven Chacon, Johanna Beyer, and Jan Welmers.

TONIGHT @ 7 pm
Let the gentleness and ethereal beauty of this masterpiece help you navigate the breadth of emotions during the Holy Week. Rutter’s Requiem is best experienced in the perfectly suited acoustics of a church - ideal for choirs, soloists, organ, instrumentalists, and deep meditation. You will not regret the experience and transformation that in person and undistracted listening to sacred live music offers.

A prizewinner of international competitions and sought-after performer, Katelyn Emerson, has been described as “a star of the first rank, and an ambassador for the organ”. Featuring Franz Liszt’s monumental Fantasy and Fugue on the chorale “Ad nos, ad salutarem undam,” her program on the stunning Richards and Fowkes organ will center on two cornerstones of sacred and secular music history: song and dance.

This Monday | Jan 16 | 7 pm
“But let justice roll down like water and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream” (Amos 5:24) provides the basis of the musical exploration for how Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy influenced and “flooded” the world. Presented by the choirs of Princeton Theological Seminary and Pinnacle Presbyterian Church, this evening will commemorate the work of Dr. King.

There is something powerful about the way music and poetry force us to stop and pay attention. Perhaps it’s the way they help us feel and express what otherwise would be hard to feel and express. Whatever the reason, join us this Friday Nov 11 at 7 pm at Pinnacle Presbyterian Church as we offer space to reflect and pay honor to the Veterans.
with Phoenix Brass Collective

Phoenix Chorale was such a treat yesterday! Their performance was strong, crisp, glorious and moving all at the same time.
They are the perfect match for the acoustics and brilliant space of Pinnacle Presbyterian Church. They are coming back to Pinnacle two more times this season. Don’t miss it! It’s an absolute bliss!
