Join us on TODAY at 2pm at The Theater at North for "That Motown Band" - An Afternoon of Motown's Greatest Hits!

Do you love songs like "Heat Wave," "Ain’t Too Proud to Beg," "Baby Love," "My Girl," and "Ain’t no Mountain High Enough?" Do you love artists like Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, The Supremes, and The Four Tops? Then, you are going to love this group of talented vocalists and musicians. "That Motown Band" has been entertaining Motown fans for years!

Joining "That Motown Band" is Garfield Fleming, a soul singing vocalist of legendary status having been a member of The Delfonics for 25 years with William Hart. Garfield’s obvious resemblance to David Ruffin makes people look twice, but when he sings fans get lost in time! He sounds just like Bobby Womack and David Ruffin, and can also perform the songs of many legendary artists. In 1981, Garfield released a single “Please Don’t Send Me Away” which is still played all over the world. He gained much of his fame as a solo artist with that song and was received very well in many countries all over the world.

Musical Director Johnny Gale is a Grammy-nominated producer, composer, arranger, vocalist, and guitarist extraordinaire. Gale is also a renowned expert in the authentic stylings of classic soul, doo w*p, R&B, blues, and rock. Gale has performed and recorded with Cyndi Lauper, Dion, Ronnie Spector, Darlene Love, Phoebe Snow, Aaron Carter, M2M, Louden Wainwright III, Jules Shear, Joan Osborne, The Soul Survivors, Hank Ballard, the Dells, The Spaniels, and literally hundreds of legendary doo w*p groups. Gale was a recent recipient of the East Coast Music Hall of Fame Legend Musician Award.

Tickets are $35-$39 and can be purchased online at www.thetheateratnorth.org or in person at the box office today starting at 12noon.

Join us for an exciting two act British Invasion concert TONIGHT at 7pm at The Theater at North!

The "British Invasion" starting in 1964 when The Beatles arrived for their first American tour and refers to the mid-1960s when British bands dominated radio airplay and the Billboard charts in America, supplanting American bands that had virtually exclusive air play in the USA until the British Invasion began. This concert includes iconic hits from The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, but also features unforgettable hits from many other British bands, including The Kinks, The Hollies, Herman’s Hermits, Van Morrison, The Zombies, The Dave Clark Five, The Searchers, and more.

The band “The British Invasion” faithfully reproduces the era in exact detail, from the music, using vintage guitars and equipment, clothing and hairstyles, including a spectacular costumed Sgt. Pepper set to close the show. The band has also toured England, playing to enthusiastic audiences in Liverpool (at The Cavern Club where The Beatles played), Manchester (United F.C. Trafford Stadium), and in London (at the renowned Crawdaddy Club and The Half Moon). They have also shared the stage with many bands whose hits dominated the 60s and even performed for Dick Clark, the host of “American Bandstand.”

Opening the show is the Scranton area’s outstanding “The Untouchables.” In contrast with the British Invasion band, they will play American rock hits you will know and love. The band is comprised of four excellent, seasoned musicians, including lead vocalist Michelle Reilly, bassist Joe Miraglia, guitarist John Lewis, and guest drummer Richie Kossuth. Their incredible vocal prowess and harmonies will do justice to American rock hits and energize the crowd from the first song to the last.

Tickets are $38-$45 and can be purchased online at www.thetheateratnorth.org or in person at the box office tonight starting at 5pm.
