Coming this summer!! We are excited to share that we will be hosting 8 weeks of summer camps this starting the week of July 7th and running until the end of August. Registration goes live on Feb 2nd at Noon, so be sure to set an alarm ⏰ so you don’t miss out! We will have a different fun filled theme each week (see below)👇. We can’t wait to do more crafting and make more art with your kiddos!

Our weeks themes are:
July 7th: Garden Art Explorers, grades 1-6
July 14th: Paper and Pages Camp, grades 3-6
July 21st: Superhero Lab, grades 1-3
July 28: Creative Threads, grades 3-6
Aug 4th: Mythical Worlds, grades 1-6
Aug 11: Craft + Lab, grades 1-3
Aug 18th: Art Around the World, grades 1-6

Learning something new this evening, giving crochet a try. I have no idea what I am doing, but I have a couple of books and I am giving it a good try. Its fun! It might be a janky, multicolored blanket in the end, but I will have done it all with my own hands, that is what I am going for. What new hobby have you picked up over the holiday break?

She cleans up nicely!!! All tidy and ready for a Yarn Wall Hanging class tonight. Got all the light cords tucked away and even got the floor mopped, what???? I am proud of all the hard work that went in to making our studio look beautiful.

I did a thing…and it lights up the space way better now! I got the lights from and had to rewrite them to be plug in because hardwiring them was way out of my limited budget. And yes, it’s still a mess in the studio and I need to wrestle the wires, but I am so proud of all the hard work it took to get them up and in working order.

Calling families in the following schools! We are offering after school classes in 19 (seriously, 19?!) Seattle area elementary schools and these schools still have room to sign up!

Like Mom, like daughter. We decided to go check out our local branch to see what cool books we could find, I mean what is more sustainable than that? We found some good stuff! Kayla found some amazing panda books to read for her homework and I found a ton of crafting books for myself. Can’t wait to tuck in!

We are getting ready to start the Fall session of after school kids art classes in the Seattle area. Our theme this session is Art with Nature. We love to use thrifted, donated and upcycled materials for these classes and we could use a few specific things if you have any to give. We can even arrange a pick up! So please reach out if you have any of these items or if you can start saving them up for a pick up soon!

This is the face of a woman with a filled bucket - the small business connection bucket that is. I attended a small business networking event presented by and it was what I needed today. It was so good that I need some “me time” after to decompress and get all my small business ideas down on paper. The amazing food and drinks at didn’t hurt either.

This view of the new studio may not look clean and organized to some, but it’s heaven to me. We can now find all the stuff we are looking for, quickly and easily. Which is so amazing…except to that ADHD part of my brain that comes across some new craft that I desperately want to try…NOW! I now miss those things bending crammed in my basement…😿

Living my values…saving my pants. I cut a hole in my pants a while back with an Xacto knife but I love these jeans, so let’s put on a patch or two and make it cute! 🥰 Sewing on those patches took every ounce of my patience, this was a tough spot to do some hand sewing, but I stuck with it because I can do hard things! Yesterday I had to get outside, breathe in fresh air and fill my brain and body with natural endorphins because…life. It’s hard, for everyone. I can’t seem to get a handle on my emotions, so I turned to nature for some relief. And it helps, even just in the moment, and for now, that was enough. I hope you all find some relief too. We had such a fun night making pumpkins from old sweaters! We gathered in the studio, cut up old sweaters in fall colors and made small and large pumpkins 🎃. It was so lovely to gather with friends, chat, craft and enjoy each other’s company! I talk about doing this for other people all the time, so it was amazing to do it for myself for once. This Sunday, from 12-6pm, we will be having an open studio day at our new space in the Inscape Arts Building located at 815 Seattle Ave South, Unit 223, Seattle, WA, 98125 and we would LOVE to see you there!!!! We will be crafting, of course, and would love to have you take home some fun string art air plant holders. The whole building will be participating and you will be able to see some amazing artist and their behind the scenes studios as well as support them by purchasing art directly from the artist themselves.
