Come join us tomorrow, June 14th from 10-2, at the Morgan Junction Community Festival in West Seattle. We will be making magnets from bottle caps and you will get to create your own design or make a “West is Best” one to stick on your fridge. Can’t wait to craft with you all and feel you about the exciting stuff we have happening this summer. Did I mention SUMMER CAMPS???

Summer Camps! We still have openings in all of our summer camps for this summer, so head over to our website and sign up to get those kiddos creating and having a fun time with us. We can’t wait to do more long form projects and get creative!

I am beaming with pride!!! So proud of our team today!!! One of our after school art teachers, Oli, organized a booth for us at the Schack Art Center’s Artist Garage Sale today up in Everett. Four of our instructors and I sold our art and we brought a bunch of the donations that we aren’t able to utilize to sell to the public at today’s sale. We were raising money for our scholarship program to be able to reach more kids and we raised enough to fully fund two kiddos for the Fall session. So proud of us and all the hard work, the soaked socks and making it through a total downpour with smiles on our faces. Yup, these are the only pics I managed to get, but we had a great time!!!!

One more big milestone to celebrate today 🎉 we have been doing after school art classes in the Seattle area for two years now and we took a tally last week and noticed a big and exciting statistic - we have just surpassed 1000 kiddo in grades 1-5 that have joined us in making art and crafts. We are so proud and so honored that your kiddos keep coming back to create with us! Thank you!!!

We have hit a milestone that feels like we should celebrate. I can’t believe it…but it’s true! Over 1000lbs of material has come through our door and we have made such good use of it. From paper, to fabric, to watercolor paint, to pipe cleaners, to toilet paper rolls…seriously, we use it all! And what we don’t use? We have a big plan for it…so stay tuned for that in the future. Let us know if you have donations to share!

Happy Earth Day 🌎! We spent the day making upcycled bottle cap magnets with the Starbucks Sustainability Group and lots of Starbucks partners and it was so fun! We hope you did something great for the Earth and something fun for you today too.

Today we are introducing you to week #2 of summer camp - Paper and Pages Camp!

We will dive into the magical world of book arts this summer! Campers will explore the art of creating unique, handmade books while learning fun and exciting techniques like paper marbling, bookbinding, and pop-up page design. Each day, kids will craft their own storybooks, journals, and artistic creations inspired by their imagination and favorite themes like nature, adventure, or fantasy. Whether they’re folding, stitching, or illustrating, young artists will discover the joy of combining words and art into keepsake masterpieces. Perfect for budding authors, artists, and crafters!

The field trip for this week will take us to the Beacon Food Forest to gather materials to make paper from.

Cheers to International Women’s Day! Today we are celebrating all the amazing women who make this little business what it is…my mom, Kathleen, who taught me everything I know: how to think critically, how to ask questions, how to be creative and kind! And Kayla, my daughter, who is my partner in everything creative and messy! I love these ladies dearly and they are with me every little and big step of the way on this amazing journey and I couldn’t do it without them.
