Crafted events for Adults and Kids - A mobile party business using upcycled materials

Today is Giving Tuesday and we know you have lots of options on where to give your time and money, but we are adding one more option!

Did you know we are a fiscally sponsored arts organization and we accept tax deductible cash 💰 donations along with material 🎨 donations? We use the funds to provide scholarships for our after school art classes at local Seattle area elementary schools.

Each and every donation counts!

We serve kids all over the Seattle area, from West Seattle to Beacon Hill and from Ballard to Wedgwood - we get art into as many kids hands as we can. Each session, we hand out at least 1 scholarship per school (and each Title 1 school gets 2), that is over 45 scholarships per year! But, we would love to offer more! And that’s where you come in!

Come join us for a few public events we are doing this Holiday Season! We will be at Pacific Place in downtown Seattle on three Saturdays coming up this month to participate in the Frosty Fun sponsored by the Association from 12-4pm each day

We have officially started our after school art classes in Seattle area elementary schools and are working on projects to align with our theme of “Fall Into Art”! We have 12 schools this session and 125 art making kiddos! Looking forward to lots of creativity, upcycled materials and fun 🤩!

Today was a wild day…we were featured on New Day Northwest, our local morning show in Seattle on King5 News. The host, Kelly, was so kind and it was super fun to make terrariums with her and share about our business. We will link the whole feature in our bio above. And bonus points for someone who can count the amount of time so said um…!

On this National Smile Day, we are showcasing just a few of the smiles made while working on projects with our team. Smiles, laughter and chatter is how we know we are doing “it” right. And that makes us want to do it more!

Donations! Yes we take donations! We use them for a variety of things, from after school kids classes to corporate crafting events, you would be surprised how far our donations stretch. It is a huge bonus for us, as a small business with lots of expenses, as you can imagine. Today’s donation came to 65 lbs, that’s 65 lbs of materials that will not end up in a landfill, won’t take up any more space on our customer’s shelf and will get used to make art in one of our classes or events.

Fall after school art classes are now enrolling at Seattle Public Schools! Contact your PTA for enrollment info and sign this kiddos up for more art. We are now enrolling in 12 different schools so comment below if you have any questions or need help with your school. Looking forward to sharing more art and crafts this fall!

We believe in the universe and in our network and we are asking for your help. We have outgrown our current studio space and are looking at making a big move to a new space. But we haven’t found the right space yet despite trying really hard. And that is where you come in…

Do you know of a space that is for rent that might not be super obvious? We can’t afford and frankly can’t be make great use of a “retail” space but would love to be on street level or we could do a second floor space as long as there is an elevator (we have lots of stuff and it gets heavy quite quickly). We would love to be somewhere south of downtown Seattle, but if the space is right, send it along. We will totally consider it. We LOVE industrial spaces, so get creative! We can make anything into a cool space. A few more things: we need about 1000-2000 sf, so think big. We want to be able to host classes, events and community events. PLEASE! Let us know if you know about a cool space, or any space!!! Our ears and eyes are open!!!!

Today is the last day of our Craft +Lab summer camp for a group of 10 wonderful kiddos. I am working out in the hall on about 10 other projects including a big corporate event we are doing in 2 weeks. This has been stressful juggling all the things and one of the kiddos in the camp today came out and gave me this little charm that she was using and said, “I really loved camp this week. This is a thank you for you.” Honestly, is there anyone better than that? Guess we are doing alright after all…😊
