The Cascade Super Series has two great running events on Snoqualmie Pass WA this September. The Cascade Express Half Marathon Sept 8th The Cascade Express Marathon Sept 29th Both have beautiful views, run downhill, and go through a 2.3 mile long tunnel. These courses are fast, really fast, they are certified and the mile marks are spot on. Set a PR or maybe even get Boston qualifying time. Great volunteers along the route and delicious grilled cheese sandwiches at the finish. More info and registration at this link. The temperatures in the Seattle area will be in the upper 70's today and maybe hit 80 on Thursday; it's time to get ready for pasty white leg season. I'll be photographing the Krank Events adventure race today, then the Wednesday Night World Championships Wednesday and Thursday the NW Epic Series Registration Party. I'll probably need to wear sunglasses to protect my eyes from all the whiteness. Krank Events, in the Seattle area has their first adventure racing event of the season coming up Tuesday April, 24th. Race day headquarters will be in Issaquah, (exact location TBA) Racing starts at 7:00pm but you want to be there at least an hour early. Expect to be trekking, biking, navigating and having loads of fun.
