The Annual North American Rewilding Conference is part speakers, part Open Space, and part hands-on land tending. It is a think tank of some of the continent’s most inspiring rewilders and rewilding projects, as well as a social networking opportunity for rewilders. Winter tidings. If you see any loose trees on the street feel free to drop them off at We will be hosting Bio Char workshops and burning times over the winter. The Bio Char is to be used in storm water filtration socks preventing 6ppd from entering the Salish Sea and Duwamish River Valley. By making neutral charcoal we can heal soil, filter water, and even has human health benefits! Any wood or tree donations appreciated! 💚🔥

This gathering is an opportunity to celebrate the seasons change and to recognize the work of those committed to rematriation, reciprocity and Land Back efforts.

Location: The Duwamish Longhouse and Cultural Center (4705 W Marginal Way SW, Seattle, WA 98106)

Tomorrow is volunteer Monday and if you need transportation, you can get free rides from MetroFlex! Below is a letter with information on how to sign up download their app and use a code for a free ride before the end of the year!

I wanted to let you all know that KC Metro has created a program called Metro Flex and they have expanded it to Delridge & South Park. The intention of this is to offer rides in areas that don’t have access to public transportation. And the thought is that if more people use it in areas that don’t have bus service, they would look at putting metro service in.

The way it works:
Riders choose their desired destination. They’ll receive a nearby pick-up location to meet their driver and may share the ride with other passengers. Riders with mobility needs—such as using a wheelchair—can save this information within their Metro Flex profile. Rides cost the same as the bus and transfers apply.

It is my understanding that this doesn’t get you door to door service...it is more about getting you from bus stop access to door service.

The more people we can get to use it, the stronger the argument for a bus route. This is Metro’s response to the Longhouse’s request, and if we don’t have the data to show people are using it then they are worried they will use it to justify not putting a bus in the area.
