❄️ There’s something so enchanting about a proper winter soirée, isn’t there? We leveraged the sky-high ceilings at this beautiful and vast venue by creating a sparkling paper snowflake installation that drew guests in. There’s an art to making 1,400 guests feel at home and comfy - creating a large spot to belly up for a festive beverage was one of our tricks we used! We also:

-Used roaming entertainers
-Used various areas of the venue at different times
-Changed up the video displays and music
-Created countless pocket seating areas for cozy corners

🥂 A toast to the new year from our new HQ! We bid adieu to our old (and well-loved) warehouse offices and said bonjour to this charming old brick building in our neighborhood.

We added a punch of instant Valley style with new brass exterior touches, a slightly revamped logo (thank you, and !), and garlands aplenty to get us settled in before the holidays (and Ava’s annual Girl Scouts holiday crafting party)!

There’s much to come (cue new furniture!) and some very exciting partnerships, collabs, and events coming up. While we had every intention to get said furniture and art up and pro photos taken, the holidays took over so iPhone pics will do!

Cheers to ringing in our 22nd year in business! Thank you to all of you for coming alongside us for the ride!

Seattle friends, we love that so many of you pop in to visit us! If you see the lights on, come and say hello and stay for an espresso or bubbly! Cheers!

Tasty treasures you’ll usually find at our holiday parties at home:
Beautiful punch bowls filled with glittering citrus, herbed ice cubes, and decadent punches!

Here’s our go-to holiday punch recipe we hope you serve up this holiday season!

Pre-freeze distilled water and orange wedges in small Bundt cake pans or square ice cube trays

Layer orange slices, cranberries, mint, and cloves in a punch bowl

Add 1 - 2-liter of apple cider
1 - 2-liter of cranberry or orange juice
1 -liter of ginger ale
Garnish with the ice rings and top with a bottle of Prosecco or champagne (or sparkling water for a non-alcoholic version)

📐 Sometimes it’s the ceiling of a beautifully designed historic hotel. It might be stunning natural landscape on a trip or a bright and clever dinner. We pull inspiration from everywhere. For this wedding we’d kept a striped motif in mind for this legacy client for some time, inspired by tropical pools and striped umbrellas.

Designing the architecture of an event space is just as important as the experience that happens within it. What began with one photo of a striped umbrella became a design pored over for countless hours until we landed on a design that felt fun, fresh, but also befitting of our clients’ home. 🦜

🦃 It’s here! Valley & Co. Tips for a marvelously effortless Thanksgiving holiday:

1. Mix and match! Play with everyday dishes and glassware and mix in heirloom pieces if you have them. A combo of playful+casual and special+formal is always a good paring.

2. Store bought (a la ) is also just fine! While we love baking and cooking our favorite recipes from scratch, it’s okay to give yourself grace and pick up dessert (or the whole spread!) from your favorite bakery or specialty shop.

3. Fruit and veggies make for the most festive table decor! Clippings from the garden are also the easiest centerpieces this time of year: think - magnolia branches, evergreen boughs, and even spent hydrangea stems.

4. You can never have too many snacks! From classics like deviled eggs and smoked salmon canapés to mixed nuts and cocktail party fare, we love a good party spread that all ages will enjoy!
