From our initial consult, to the day of their wedding, these two were such a joy to work with!

We started with an intimate ceremony at Parsons Gardens (where their friend who officiated had a surprise scroll to read off of- see slide 4, it was so good) and then moved to with additional friends & family to celebrate! It was such a beautiful day filled with so much palpable love for them. 10/10 recommend!

Oh and bonus points to Lisa & Kyle for 1- being obsessed with THE cookie from like I am and 2- having some leftover from the rehearsal and sending me off with one at the end of the night.

The most romantic winter wedding! First, we were at for the ceremony and then moved over to for cocktails, dinner, dancing, karaoke (!!), and dessert. Hello and happy Tuesday! It’s been awhile since I’ve intro’d myself on here, and seeing as we have a few new faces following, it felt like the right time.

I am the Owner/Lead Planner for Bright Side Events, planning weddings all over the PNW + beyond! Currently, I live in Spokane, WA but make my way back to the west side ~ 1x a month for work, meetings, and seeing friends & family. This little company of mine turns 10 this year and it will be the second season focusing just on planning without another full time job. A few things about me:

- Hot take: I truly don’t care about Taylor and Travis. Sorry, not sorry 🙊
- I have an almost one year old pug named Lewis that I’m obsessed with
- After never having braces in my entire life, I just got done with Invisalign and loved it.
- Must haves on a wedding day: my timeline, phone/Apple Watch, good shoes, and COFFEE!
- I am taking weddings in Seattle through the foreseeable future, with no added travel fees for those getting married in Seattle proper!
- Favorite snack right now: been on a huge kick!
- Travel ju**ie to my core

Rachael + Andrew 💛🧡

This wedding was such a bright light in my season- talking about the couple, the florals, the sun, and everything in-between. Rachael & Andrew picked so many unique little details throughout their wedding that I am obsessed with. To name a few:

- Custom napkins printed with their handwritten love notes to each other from over the years
- A recipe book + Polaroid camera for their guestbook. Guests took a photo and left it with a note by a chosen recipe in the book!
- Personal letters to each guest at their seat for dinner, that also doubled as place cards

A year ago, two strangers from Ohio rented my camper van () for an epic hiking trip in the North Cascades. When they dropped the van back off to me, they shared that they had gotten engaged while on the trip, resulting in me telling them this was fate and they HAD to hire me for their elopement. So thankful they did because they are some of the coolest, kindest people (with the best families) I have ever met and their day was an absolute favorite to “work”!

Kayleigh & Nathan- thank you both for trusting me to help turn this day into what you had imagined, even while planning across the country! Cheers to this next adventure.

Karina + Matt 💜

Karina and I met years ago through the events industry and I feel so lucky that our paths crossed when they did and that these two chose me to be a part of their exciting day!

There were many pivots and changes before getting here- multiple COVID postponements, a private elopement, they welcomed a beautiful baby, and three years later, we finally got to celebrate them! This party was full of love and ended with a perfect tuxedo t-shirt flash mob.

It’s the end of an era over here! As hard of a decision it was, I’m saying goodbye to my day job of 8 years (!!) at as the Event Manager (officially next Thursday) and am transitioning to focus on my weddings at Bright Side full-time.

I can’t begin to explain the gratefulness I feel for all I’ve learned while at AXIS, the people/vendors I’ve met and created relationships with, and the fun I’ve had while seeing so many amazing events come to life. It’s been fulfilling in so many ways!

And special shout to my work wife & sounding board for being great teammates along the way! So thankful for you both and sad I won’t be seeing you on a weekly basis anymore.

Such a bittersweet choice, but I’m feeling excited for this next adventure! Enjoy some of these highlights from my time at AXIS and some of the team I got to work with for so long.
