Let’s get hyped for our Featured Artist for this month’s SECOND SUNDAYS AT SIX: YOUTH MUSIC SHOWCASE!
The GeoDucks is one of the most exciting young acoustic bands in Seattle’s music scene today. Their rousing self-written tunes are boldly original with nods to the traditions of jazz, klezmer, swing, classical, bluegrass and old time music. This lively multi-instrumental trio is Henry Wine on keyboard, mandolin, banjo, guitar and cajon; Hank Sebring on vocals, fiddle, mandolin and bass; and Diego Sotelo on clarinet and guitar. Over the last couple of years, The Geoducks have played some of the best festivals and stages in the Pacific Northwest, including the historic the Moore Theater, the Paramount Theater, Port Townsend’s Thing Festival, The Grange in Duvall, The North Cascades Bluegrass Festival and, year after year, the Fisher Green Stage at Northwest Folklife Festival. They are members of program as well!
Second Sundays at Six - Youth Music Showcase now includes OPEN MIC and MO’JAMS!
Each month the session will include:
* A Featured act (at least one member must be under 21)
* Followed by OPEN MIC - message us what backline you’ll need so we’re ready for you!
* Closing with Mo’JAMS - all improv music playing. Mo’ from will be joining to show how it’s done!
6pm
LIVE at The LAB at 1010 S Bailey St, WA 98108
Bring $10 (split with the featured artist) or tune in on our YouTube channel and contribute via Venmo @ SeattleDrumSchool
We hear that young musicians are looking for ways to find others to play with...now this is that place!
* Each session starts with a featured artist (up to 1/2 hour), so contact us to be booked.

Thank you #wayofthewanderingmonk for this awesome shoutout, highlighting WHY this family owned school has been here 37 years! 😍🎶 This interview is about Jeremy Schulz who used to teach for #seattledrumschool and now has his own school in Redding, CA. He walked across the country to raise awareness about bullying. “🗣️This was after my #walkacrossamerica sitting in the green room of @joerogan show while Justin was telling about my story and my walk. :It was a bit surreal being in LA doing press after my walk because I was still raw from 6 months of total isolation and only being with my thoughts. :Here Just talks about the story I told him about my 1st🥇life changing mentor Steve Smith of the @seattledrumschool :Steve was the 1st person who saw more in me than I could ever imagine seeing in myself. :🗣️ one of the mini lessons that Steve instilled in me was a phrase that he used to tell all of his Drum students.🗣️ He used to say “repetition is the mother of all study” :Little did I know upon hearing this phrase that this is literally the secret hack to life.:You don’t have to be the best hell you don’t even have to be good you just have to not quit and if you do something over and over and over just by all natural law, you will become proficient at it.:But even on a deeper note, Steve was speaking words of mastery.:Repetition is the mother of all study.Do the same thing over and over and over until it becomes flow like wind or water.:So many lessons learned from such a great mentor and the guy who helped me kickstart my career that’s now been for over 20 years long.🗣️ to this day I still have coaches and mentors as this is another secret back to life that every successful person I know has in their corner a coach that helps guide them. I’m forever grateful for my mentor.:And now, with my own Drum School, and my own mindset and fitness training program, my impact is reaching far and wide and truly is changing lives and for that
