Who is Brown Paper Tickets? We are ti

cket buyers and event producers. We go to small intimate shows and big commercial festivals. We've worked as concert promoters. We've sold tickets in community theaters and in stadium box offices. We've even worked at other ticketing companies. We've seen the blood, sweat, and tears that go into producing an event because we've sweat, bled, and cried, too. As a company, we've been doing this ticketing thing for about ten years. But if our crew all lined up across the shop floor, our combined experience producing and attending events would span decades. Along the way we've worked with some amazing people and learned some important lessons, like how a ticketing company should behave and how it should not. How we want to be treated and how to treat others. We've built this company to provide the kind of service we would want for ourselves. We don't answer to shareholders and venture capitalists. We answer to us - the ticket buyers and event producers of the world. We built this service for us, because we are you.

We are deeply sorry for the extended delay in getting payments and refunds to our customers. We also recognize that our lack of timely communications has added to their frustrations during the COVID-19 crisis.

It’s no secret the events business was hit hard by the COVID-19 crisis. The need for physical distancing led to a tsunami of event changes, postponements, and, ultimately, cancellations.

Brown Paper Tickets is seeking a full-time Event Support Specialist to provide outstanding customer service from our Edinburgh office in Scotland!

Come join our team and enjoy a casual work environment, supplemental health care benefits, 28 holidays a year, up to a week of paid volunteer time per year, and office snacks.

The following schedule is available:

– 12:30 p.m. – 9 p.m., Friday through Tuesday

*Weekday training period for first several weeks prior to starting the shift schedule designated above.

Day-to-day activities for this position include:

* Taking inbound calls from customers who

– wish to purchase tickets to a variety of events

– want to know more about particular events

– might be a little lonely and want somebody nice to talk to

* Corresponding with customers and coworkers via e-mail & chat

* Troubleshooting problematic ticket orders

* Taking inbound calls from event organisers to

– help them set up a ticketing event

– answer questions and teach them about event set up and system tools

– problem-solve and follow up on event discrepancies

* Approve new event postings

* Contact new event organisers to welcome them to the company

Applicants should possess:

* Excellent speaking and writing abilities

* An almost freakish attention to detail

* The deep desire and uncanny ability to provide top-notch customer service

* The ability to use proper punctuation, grammar, and spelling in written communications

* The ability to communicate clearly and concisely in verbal conversations

* The ability to multi-task

* Prior experience working with a multi-line phone system, E-mail and instant messaging

* A friendly, helpful, and hard-working demeanor

Brown Paper Tickets is seeking part-time Event Support Specialists to provide outstanding customer service from our Seattle office in Fremont! Work with fun co-workers in a casual work environment, with generous PTO and flexibility in making your own schedule.

We are looking for people who can come to our offices on the Queen Anne side of the Fremont bridge with the availability to work 20-28 hours a week, between the hours of 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., Sunday – Saturday. Shifts can be 4-8 hours long. Training for handling ticket buyer issues will take place 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday through Friday for the first two weeks prior to starting your designated shift schedule. (If you have specific schedule needs during training, please let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate them.)

Our crew using BPT's Paid Time-On benefit to volunteer for Pasado's Safe Haven, a truly wonderful animal sanctuary. We put compost in Ziggy's "house" so he would have a softer spot for his injured feet. Look it how nice he poses for pictures! 🦃

The volunteer group from Brown Paper Tickets worked to give our resident male turkey, Ziggy, a comfy yard to walk on by spreading compost. Ziggy also appreciated all the love and attention!
