You don’t need expensive florals or rentals to have an elegant wedding ✨
What you need is a clear vision of what “elegant” means in reality vs what it means to you!

This is key for any design decision you are about to take. A wedding designer will be able to walk you through the design process and give your their advice, expertise, the list of the right vendors that can bring those feelings of elegance according to your budget.

Depending on the look you are going for, you can add on more details like fruit, a table runner, flower stem in each plate, a little thank you gift, etc. Or if you want to be more minimal you can remove the candles, switch the colors of your design to something more neutral and that will feel less busy on your table without compromising the necessary items on the list above.

Here are some ways how you can welcome your guests on your wedding day.

Doors open early

The first thing to do is make sure that guests have time to get ready and have a drink before the ceremony. This means having doors open early, and setting up a drinks reception so that they can meet each other and relax.

Create a relaxed entrance
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you’re planning on having guests arrive by car, why not create a relaxed entrance for them? Having a valet service will speak wonders of you and how much you care for them.

Have a guestbook table
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Another way to ensure that everyone gets involved is by creating a guestbook table where guests can leave messages for you both before or after the ceremony. And don’t stop with only for your wedding but also for the next milestone you and your babe accomplish.

Give direction to your guests

If there are any special details about your venue that guests should know about — like where the bathrooms are — Make a signage and place it somewhere visible at every entrance/exit point from outside (or inside) so everyone feels comfortable while they wait for the ceremony to start!

They jumped in the creative train with me and we dreamt big. We solved all the problems life throw at us, we compiled all our expertise in our jobs and gave the best of the best.

Thank you to saying yes to my crazy idea to put together something you never heard of and came to support. I am so grateful for you and what you did for this shoot. Believe me when I say, I wouldn’t have been able to do it without your support. So THANK YOU!

Did I mentioned that all of them are heads of their businesses? All are women? And all are amazingly good at their job?

Opens instagram and immediately thinks… “One day I’ll be like her, she is my inspiration” well, that’s not going to happen until you invest in EDUCATION which should be your first investment before your branding and product or service.

Social media was my teacher, 1 year later I hit reality and I saw that learning only through social media was hurting my confidence, increasing doubts, destroying opportunities because I didn’t know how to make a profit out of a job.

My excuse that year was: I don’t want to fail, spend money, waste time, be disappointing on myself so I am not “ready to invest in a couch, masterclass, mentor”

The results of that way was worst because I ended up experiencing all that anyways.. giving me 2 options.. to quit or to try again with paid education .. Well here I am so you know what I chose and I have ZERO REGRETS because the person I chose also knew every feeling I had and made me feel so confidence by giving me encouragement, guidance and practical steps to move forward.

This 2023 I am able to manage my work remotely and not letting go opportunities to work in community, innovate, create, and keep growing Gatherings. I hope you are doing absolutely everything in your power to move forward in your business.

I was in Puerto Vallarta this past May to do some research for weddings in Mexico and this is what I discovered
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. There is no such a thing like say of coordinator. You need a full wedding planner
2. The majority of wedding venues have already a team of vendors included on the package so if you want to be exclusive about who you want to hire (Stay away from hotels)
3. There’s is a lack of decor and rentals in the Riviera Nayarit area so if you are coming from the US; hire all your stationery and decor vendors
4. Puerto Vallarta is beautiful to get married but there are smaller and private towns that offer amazing experiences and views like Sayulita and Punta Mita
5. Weddings can go up to 2am
6. Wedding season in Mexico goes from November- April (perfect for Seattle couples that are scaping from the cold months)
7. Is not as affordable as you think but the investment is so worth it since you are having a week experience instead of 1 day

If you are looking for a planner that won’t charge you for travel fees for your wedding in Mexico I am your person! Bookings for 2023 are open and so 2024 for Mexico!

Sharing responsibilities is a MUST when it comes to wedding planning! Do not let yourself steal the full experience to yourself and to your partner. As a wedding planner I see Brides that take the entire ownership of the wedding assuming all responsibility of the wedding; tending to forget that the groom was the one initiating the wedding by proposing. My hope is that with this list you can find ways to share some of that responsibility so you feel some weight lifted off your shoulders and feel supported by your partner.

When I started planning people’s wedding I had no idea why florist charge what they charge until this happened to me..
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I was in Mexico doing a project at with .photo and the challenge of physics, weight, air, altitude we faced.. Was unbelievable!
I have seen all my florist friends being so confident and making it look so easy that I thought I could do it just like them.. well, I was wrong 🫢
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I learned my lesson and now I don’t think twice when I see my florist invoices because:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨The years investing in education costed them money and time
✨ They need crew members to help process and install the arrangements
✨ The trial and errors they have learned throughout all their time in business

I appreciate so much my florist friends that have mastered the abilities to do their installations and I have so much respect for what they do 🤍

If you are a newly engaged couple and are traveling for the holidays here are some tips that will help you keep you sane
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨ Set up an alarm for 1 hour for packing, turn your phone on *do not disturb*, and play your favorite Friday playlist
✨ Make a list of gift items you are thinking in purchasing but before going to the mall check the websites.. also (your fiancé and your mom can help you with some ideas)
✨ While you are there don’t forget to take time for yourself.. grab some coffee, go on a walk, etc! Sometimes traveling itself can be overwhelming, adding new family dynamics that are so new can increase your stress levels so, regrouping your thoughts in a simple walk to a coffee shop can help tremendously
✨ Hire a wedding planner before you head to your holiday vacation.. and that’s the perfect answer to all your wedding questions “my wedding planner is figuring that out and we will have meetings when we go back”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ps: if you haven’t hired a wedding planner yet, I advise you to do so, the wedding process can add a toll to your schedule, by having someone that is guiding you in what to do throughout this process will alleviate your stress so you can ENJOY this holidays 🫶🏽

Sometimes venues have rentals that couples don’t know how to take advantage of.. Let me give some ideas in how to use those rentals and make your wedding look stunning 🤍
1. Combine round and rectangular tables..
2. White and silver gives such a minimal look to a tablescape (add some minimal dry florals on top of the menus and as delicate centerpieces)
3. Add color on those white tablecloth (it can be on the flowers, silverware, or napkins only)
4. Instead of having flowers as centerpieces get some candles and high end chairs for a more luxurious feel
5. Use runners or long babies breath garlands for a lush look.

The more I explore the world the more I love cultures.. I met these group of people on a surfing camp in Costa Rica. We lived together for 7 days and it was the most fun experience OF MY LIFE!
I highly recommend to be open to new places you never been before, where they don’t speak the same language you speak, a place where they say hi with cheek kisses, the roads aren’t perfect, make up isn’t necessary, and phone reception is not the best..

I did something I have never done before. I Booked a trip to Costa Rica and I’m going solo. Yup, I’m pretty independent (in my own surroundings) but in foreign places I am not super social.. so this experiment is gonna be fun 🙃🙂 I was so inspired by @maeandcomonthly Manda the best mentor ever! Talked about avoiding burnout this month… she did well because I have been feeling overwhelmed by life in general that I shut down.. and when she said “You should do something for yourself, not for your business” it clicked.. for real, because everything I think about is Gatherings and where I want to take it to🔥 but I forget that besides Gatherings I am also a human with desires that isn’t just business related.. So my advice is!! if you are a business owner, please!!! do not drown in your own business mindset, schedule times for working a lot and also to rest! Because if you aren’t 100% you will slow things down instead pushing them forward; resting time is as important as hustling time, recharge and get back at it.
