Established as a worker-owned cooperative, we are maintaining Rainier Valley as a destination for cross cultural arts and education events. With a stage, event space, and restaurant that is both affordable and profitable, the Black & Tan Hall will create multiple income streams for its investors while celebrating the history of Seattle with concerts and classes. Utilizing the skills and talents of

Seattle artists and teachers, the Black & Tan Hall will be open for business morning, noon and night with all-ages events that draw in the diverse communities of the Rainier Valley. With income from beer and wine sales, food, classes, and live music events, the business will turn a profit while its administration operates through consensus-based decision making.

THIS SATURDAY! Latin Grammy nominee Paoli Mejias, distinguished master percussionist from Puerto Rico, is coming to Black & Tan Hall! As a bandleader, Paoli Mejias fuses straight-ahead jazz with African, Mediterranean, and Caribbean folkloric rhythms to create a new dimension of Latin jazz that is global, energetic, and modern.

The bar at Black & Tan Hall is open this Thursday through Sunday and ready to pour you a Prohibition-style signature cocktail developed by lead bartender Darius. The B&TH bar serves up expertly crafted classical cocktails, highlighting fresh notes and complex flavor profiles, all while supporting Black craftsmanship in wine, spirits, and mixology. Non-alcoholic specialties available as well.

If you come in this Friday, you'll enjoy your cocktail along with live music by D'Vonne Lewis and NW D'Lux from 9-11pm (ticket link in bio)! Great opportunity for dinner, drinks, and a show!
