Our Story
AXIS Pioneer Square opened in June of 2013 breathing new life into the old Elliott Bay Book Company space. This 10,000 sqft multi-use space is housed in the historic 128-year-old Globe Building in the heart of Pioneer Square. It is an axis point for events, history, art, culture, and photography in Seattle.
AXIS Pioneer Square is among the largest non-traditional venues in Seattle and a great alternative to hotel ballrooms everywhere. The exposed brick walls, wood floors, and archways of AXIS make for the perfect setting for every event imaginable. With 10,000sqft of space to play with between the Main Space & newly opened Corner Gallery the venue is the perfect example of "versatile." AXIS can accommodate intimate gatherings of 20 - 40 people or larger scale events up to 550 people. Whatever you're planning we've got you covered.
AXIS is not only an event space, but its galleries showcase local artists rotating every two months and are featured each month during Art Walk. First Thursday in Pioneer Square is a great time to visit AXIS in the evening and see that month's show.
AXIS is also available as a studio rental to photographers and filmmakers. It is the total opposite of a standard "white box" and offers unique backdrops for any photo shoot or film.
