✨ New Year's Eve - Getting Here ✨
Prepare for heavy pedestrian and vehicle congestion around Seattle Center. Consider all your transportation options when coming to campus and prepare for major traffic delays after the fireworks show.

📣 Seattle Center Monorail - Departs approximately every 10 minutes from Westlake Center and Seattle Center. On NYE, the Monorail will be in service from 8:30am - 11pm, out of service for fireworks safety purposes from 11pm – 12:20am (approx.), and then open again from 12:20am-1:00am.

Making Gigs Work is on display at Seattle Center Armory Balcony now through January 15, 2024.
Presented by Seattle Office of Labor Standards who partnered with three community artists to highlight the work of independent contractors and app-based workers (sometimes called gig workers) as well as protections these workers have in the City of Seattle.

“It's been an honor to create an illustration for OLS that will help promote the new ordinance around paid sick and
safe time being available for app-based workers working in Seattle. I imagined this would be such a significant
change for our essential gig workers. They deserve the same rights as everyone regardless of if they are under a
regular payroll or working their own schedule.” Mousy DeVilla, “Making Gigs Work” artist.

This Friday, listen to a very special free pop-up performance by Leanna Keith.
December 22, 6pm, Upper Northwest Courtyard

Leanna Keith delights in creating sound experiences that make audiences laugh, cry, and say: “I didn’t know the flute could do that!” Using a collection of flutes, vocalizations, and electronics, Leanna creates improvised musical soundscapes. Composer Kaley Lane Eaton says: “Leanna channels unbelievable grit and authenticity in her pristine flute playing, making the flute sound, somehow, simultaneously like a choir of angels and the mycelium singing on the forest floor.” Her performance will be transportive, often bizarre, and highly joyful.
