Free to a good home. This Monstera Philodendron- is a monster - 8 ft high by 5 ft across. I received a call from his family - and it seems he outgrew his bedroom - literally- and there are still other philodendron siblings at home. Yes, I receive the most interesting requests. This big boy was started from the plant in the entrance to Rod’s Lamplighter. He has been living large in teeny little apartment and his senior Mom called me to help find a home for him. He is hanging out in my little greenhouse - but would love to be adopted by a caring family. Please help rescue him! Send me a message or call.

Wow! Nansen Florals has had a super busy May 2024 and it is only half done! This month alone - over 350 orders for delivery, hundred+ plus pickups, weddings, funerals and some really nice events! Plus- add in my corporate work! Whew! I’ve had some incredible helpers along the way, including Jennifer and my husband, Brett. Moving forward…., I’m going to be growing in a different way. I’m teaching a few local new biz owners “How to start a side gig with Flowers!” I am very excited to pass on my business knowledge, tips AND be able to give great referrals to bring flower love to our community! I am most excited about having more time to do workshops and specialty pop-ups where we can gather and create while we catch up with each other. (Remember back in 2019 what fun we had?!) Nansen Florals is headed into the busy wedding season with full hearts- and can’t wait to show this year’s really lovely (and different) wedding florals. Yes I will still be making floral magic- but will be making less daily deliveries to enable me time to work on special projects, higher end arrangements, funerals, topiary and events. This wedding made for some special memories in the weather! It was an honor to create the couple’s floral vision and be part of it! And wow did I get WET! Clinging onto the ladder in the wind and rain decorating that fabulous live edge arbor made by the groom- gave me my own memories! The couple took it all in stride and nothing could dim their joy and love on this special day! I had so much fun trying out some new techniques on this derby hat I was commissioned to make. I’ve decided we need to have a workshop for garden hats. I will teach you some new techniques and design styles. This hat has fresh flowers mounted on a special band that went into the humidifier so they’re plump, full, and long lasting during sunny days. The band just slips over the hat and it’s fabulous way to protect the hat. Would you like to learn more about the workshops? I’ll put you on the list if you let me know and we’ll get a date set early this summer!
A sneak peak behind the scenes at a colorful and cozy wedding this weekend. Salt Hotel & Pub Ilwaco was the perfect venue! They take such special care of all the guests and wonderful cozy food! This couple rented out the entire place and had live sweet cello and violin playing downstairs while the guests waited for the perfect time to dash outside to the ceremony. The groom made that trellis! We had to modify some outdoor decor due to high winds. The colorful florals were the perfect compliment to April showers at the Port of Ilwaco! Today- 2 weddings, another funeral, baby shower, hospital flowers, house warming, sympathy, thank you/love you flowers, corporate accounts and countless smiles, tears, hugs and much love. Yesterday was equally challenging with another funeral, large workshop, and at least a dozen deliveries and multiple pickups. Whew!
