CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT IS NOW ON SALE!
We are proud to announce our 2024 Christmas Ornament! This year we celebrate the Seminole Indians of Indian River County. A lot of research went into the design of this ornament.

This colorful ornament is our FIRST silver ornament in our collection to best match native indian style. The Seminoles were known for their beaded necklaces, bright colored patchwork clothing and accessories made of silver, brass, shells, glass beads, ribbons and feathers.

The ornament features a female since it was the mothers who were the ones most commonly seen coming into town to shop, and sell or barter berries to the locals. Men were busy working, fishing, hunting, farming and helping local ranchers with cattle.

A fun fact is 14th Avenue used to be called Seminole Street and 20th Street used to be called Osceola Blvd. We also have the Seminole Building, Seminole Shores, Seminole Park, Osceola Park and Seminole Lane as reminders of our early native indian settlers.

The ornament was designed by Bonnie Talley Pfiester.
