Good evening, all!

Hope all of you are doing well on this even rainier Thursday, and here comes this week's edition of "RSU: Ray's Sirens Update".
Last week, I spoke about the gratitude that those of us at Sirens have for our wonderful community, for all the support they have always and continue to show.

So now, I wanted to revisit a topic I have often touched upon in passing, but never to any great depth: How the community can utilize Sirens Studio. You see, for all the shows and productions that have taken place there over the years, there is so much more on offer. The fact is, there is the main theater where countless shows have taken place, and there is also the dance studio, where amongst other things, TerriAnne Gutierrez has her weekly bellydance class. (To which the public is always welcome to try out)

The fact is, both facilities can actually be rented! That's right...if you have an event, such as a wedding reception, or a concert or a workshop, or you're a performer who needs a place to rehearse, the theater is the perfect place for such activity. I myself have on many occasions, utilized the theater for rehearsal and shows!

In addition, the dance studio can be used to teach different types of dance classes, or work on choreography, and more. In fact, currently, the dance studio is rented for a yoga class that takes place several days a week. There is also a martial arts class that uses the dance studio on a weekly basis. There is truly UNLIMITED potential!

There is even office space for rent there!

The point is, Sirens Studio is not just a place for great shows and creativity, it's also an OPPORTUNITY, for YOU, our community, to bring your OWN creativity, to share with everyone!

Hi everybody!

Hope all of you are doing well on this rainy Thursday, and welcome to this week's edition of "RSU: Ray's Sirens Update".

To start, I want to give a BIG THANKS to everyone that came to my "A Night of Illusion at Sirens" show this past Saturday. The audience was so enthusiastic and receptive to the performance that the great Lily Diamond and I put on, it was so heartwarming.

And while we're on the subject of thanks, I want to take a moment to reflect on how truly important all of you, the community, is to us at Sirens. After my show on Saturday, I marveled at the fact that everyone in the audience could have easily chosen to be somewhere else, doing someTHING else on a Saturday night. Instead, they chose to come see my show. Their support and by extension, the community's support of Sirens means EVERYTHING.

For it's not just the funds raised by the non-profit, it's the reciprocal relationship that we have created and nurtured with our community over the last several years that makes this all work. For everyone that comes to see a Sirens production or workshop or festival, it inspires us at Sirens that much more to continue to want to bring new and favorite elements of the theatrical arts to share with all of you. In doing so, not only do we hope to entertain and educate, but also hopefully inspire some of YOU in turn to come and share in our theatrical arts or perhaps share an art of your own to grace our stage.

Therefore, we value our community, because as I say at the end of each weekly update, Sirens would not be what is it today without all of you. And it's very easy to continue saying that...because we mean it...because it's true.

So, as we go into the Thanksgiving holiday, I wanted to get a jump start on expressing gratitude and on behalf of the Sirens Board and myself, THANK YOU AS ALWAYS for the support you have shown Sirens...past, present and future.

(NOTE: TerriAnne Gutierrez, along with several members of Joweh R.A.W. are currently in Egypt, but will no doubt have a plethora of experiences and stories to bring back to Sirens that will serve to enhance what performances we bring next to you!)

Happy Halloween everybody!

Hope you're all enjoying the Feast of Samhain while perusing this week's episode of "RSU: Ray's Sirens Update"!

Well, we're coming down to it, folks! It's just around the corner...in two days, in fact. "What?" you ask. Silly people, I'm referring of course to "Belly and the Beast", the fantastic show co/created-produced by the intrepid trio of Treja McClish, Jessica Yuen-Benevides and Kendra Michelle. I never tire of telling the truth which is that this show gets better with each year, and considering this year's roster, I'll be proven right once again! Get your tickets, it's not too late!
