From humble beginnings in the early 1960s, the Cedars Resort, originally known as the Cedar Motel, has seen a lot of growth and expansion not only on the resort grounds, but also in the city of Sedona, AZ. In the late 1960s, the motel was expanded with the two-story addition of 10 luxury guest rooms, followed by another two-story addition with 12 luxury guest rooms in the 1980s to accommodate the ever-growing number of visitors to Sedona. The pool, hot tub, gym and other amenities were added as the resort and area continued to grow in popularity, and the luxury rooms have been updated to satisfy the need of modernity while keeping the charming and rustic feel of the original motel.
