🧡Program of the Joshua M. Freeman Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit, was established in 2007 to honor the life and legacy of Josh Freeman, the former Chair of the Carl M. The Foundation impacts more than 130,000 individuals annually through two programs, the

Arts Access Initiative and Freeman Arts. When not held at the venue, live performances occur at schools and community centers around Delmarva. Our Arts Access Initiative provides K-12 students, community partners and families throughout Delmarva access to year-round, high-quality, diverse arts experiences at no cost. Programming for the Arts Access Initiative includes live music, dance, comedy and many other forms of the arts through performances at Freeman Arts Pavilion throughout the summer months, as well as year-round arts opportunities with our partner locations throughout Delmarva. Freeman Arts Pavilion is our outdoor performance venue in Selbyville, DE which is home to many of the live performances for both the Arts Access Initiative and Freeman Arts. The venue holds nearly 4,000 guests per live performance, and an array of traditional concert-going experience amenities. Each summer, we welcome more than 100,000 guests through both programs at the venue. Learn more about our organization at freemanarts.org

Happy Veterans Day ❤️🇺🇸 Today, we celebrate the courage and sacrifice of our veterans. Music has the power to heal and unite, and we’re grateful for the freedom that allows us to come together and enjoy it.

We’d also like to give a shoutout to Operation SEAs The Day! This incredible organization facilitates a beach week event for wounded soldiers and their families, showing community appreciation for their service and sacrifice. We’re honored to have partnered with them in the arts for several years, and this year, warrior families enjoyed a performance by Bruce In The USA: The World's #1 Tribute to Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band!

Learn more about how you can support this organization and give back to our veterans at operationseastheday.org.

Celebrating the Arts for ALL

The Freeman Stage is an open air performing arts venue located near Fenwick Island, DE. A program of the Joshua M. Freeman Foundation (JMFF), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, the Freeman Stage presents over 60 performances a year, including national recording artists, musical theater and children’s programming. In addition, our Arts Access Initiative provides K-12 students and under-served families in Delmarva year-round access to high quality, diverse arts experiences at no cost. This initiative includes four components:

  • Performing Arts Series: A multidisciplinary series featuring dance, music, theater and cultural performances that reflect the ethnic roots of our region.

  • Young Audience Series: Provides educational, interactive arts experiences for pre-Kindergarten through Grade 5 children, enhancing adolescent skills such as cognitive and language development in an entertaining way.

  • Community Access Program: Provides complimentary entrance for ticketed performances and year-round transportation grants for educational and non-profit groups.
