Gone but not forgotten.
As the current care takers of this house I have been touched by the stories for the descendants of previous owners. Please see a bit of the history of the some of the real life heroes connected to our house and now connected to us. “I saw your photo posted today. My grandparents owned this house many years ago. Their third son, Harold Monroe Walton, was lost at sea during WWII during his training as a pilot. He was my Dad's younger brother. There is a monument in his memory next to my grandparents' graves at Sharpsburg Baptist Church.” Mr. Walton made the ultimate sacrifice.
