Service Update:

We have had people out riding the roads this morning to assess conditions for our regular Wednesday service routes.

Many roads in Meriwether County are still hazardous and the landfill is closed. We will be unable to service our Wednesday Meriwether County customers today. We will service your area this Saturday when conditions have improved.

We do have trucks running our Wednesday Coweta County routes. We will service as many of our Coweta County customers as is safely possible. There are still secondary roads that we do not feel are safe for us to travel. We will assess them again this afternoon and plan accordingly.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we prioritize the safety of our drivers and others in the community.

We will be closed on January 10th and 11th due to the prediction of unfavorable weather conditions in our area.

Friday Service Update

Our current plan is to delay our start time for Friday routes until 8 am. However, this plan is subject to change depending on the timing and severity of the storm system as it moves through our area. As mentioned in our previous post, driver safety and the safety of others on the roadway is our priorty.

Please help us by doing the following things.

- Friday service customers, please DO NOT put your cart street side tonight. We ask that you put it out Friday morning by 8am.

- All customers, please remove your cart from the street and secure it due to the possibility of high winds. We do not want trash cans to end up in the roadways, becoming hazards.

- Check back here tomorrow morning for any updates.

- Please be patient and understanding as adjustments are made.

Important Service Update

We are actively monitoring weather conditions for Thursday and Friday. Our goal is to safely provide quality service for our customers; however, driver safety and the safety of others on the roadway is our priorty.

Our THURSDAY routes will be operating on REGULAR schedule. We will be utilizing additional trucks in hopes of completing our routes earlier in the day.

We will provide an update regarding our Friday routes on Thursday afternoon.

*** Trash cans are likely to be overturned during storms. If you see that your trash can has overturned before being emptied, please stand it back upright. Your driver will greatly appreciate it.

*** Please be sure to secure your trash can after service due to the possibility of high winds.

IMPORTANT: When disposing of fireworks, please soak them in water for at least 24 hours before putting them in your garbage.
Not only can it burn the trash cans up, but it could also start a fire inside the bodies of our trucks. This makes for an extremely dangerous situation for our drivers.
These are two examples from this morning.
