I don’t often post plant orders. Not because I don’t love them but they tend to be fewer and in between. I love this order so much.

This client does bud vases on all the female employees desks each week. However around the holidays they each get a beautiful poinsettia for their desks. This was poinsettia day. It really brightens up the office to see these pops of red flowers everywhere.

There really is something to be said about flowers and your mood.

Baby shower fun. Two showers from last weekend.

The first grouping, the theme was Blue and baby Elephants. We used blue hydrangeas and blue ribbon in the centerpieces to reinforce the baby boy theme.

The second group was a woodland themed shower. We used green veggie roses. They are a cross between a Brussel sprout and a rose. Super fun. Totally special order!

The holidays are a wonderful time to gather together for all of life’s special occasions babies, weddings, and just friends.

We love being a part of these sweet moments for all of our clients.

Last week was incredibly fun and busy. This week we take a breath and slow down to enjoy the season.

These flowers were for a holiday bridge party. The hostess gave each of the ladies engraved mint julip cups which we filled with red roses.

We finished the final string of decorating houses yesterday! We love all of our clients thank you for trusting us with your businesses and homes. It’s a favorite thing to do but somehow we always manage to schedule decorating days on the coldest and windiest days of the week. It’s a gift and not a good one.

As we are entering engagement season I am thinking about weddings for next year. I wanted to share something fun that the ladies and I like to do with extra flowers from the weddings.

We always have some extra flowers that we need to work with in case anything wilts. But, sometimes we have more that that. We like to come up with some creative way to use them as a gift from us.

The first photo was smilax vine wreaths for our bride and groom’s chairs.
The second photo is a small baby bouquet for the cake table.
The third photo is a baby bathroom arrangement.

All of these were just extras for our couples. It doesn’t always happen that we have extra flowers but we go out of our way to think ways to use up what we have and just add a little extra fun and love for our couples.

Thanksgiving is coming! We are moving quickly into the holiday season. Lots of fun celebrations coming up in December.

We were out and about today doing some holiday decorations in the Village of Sewickley. Our first stop was in Sewickley.

The office interior was beautiful and the realtors were so very kind to let us warm up in between decorating. Our fingers and hearts were so grateful.

As we are preparing for the holidays that are coming up a friend reminded me of this article for that is now on-line

It includes fun tips and tricks for setting the table at your own home. I used greens from my yard and flowers and magnolia leaves from my wholesaler

Behind the scenes fun stories:

1. Our cats kept wandering into the photos. Finally we gave up and Erin took photos with them and they seemed less disruptive and lost interest in their photo bombing schemes.

2. It was such a hot day in May the outside greens crisped up beyond use so they never even got photos because they were so crispy and dry. The trickiness of magazines, everything is done well in advance.

3. I was using the room off the dining room for storage and Erin and Keith loved the look of peering through the door. I was shocked at the time but it’s a fun photo and it made it into the magazine. Yes that is what it looked like. Storage. Holiday storage even with candy canes!

4. And finally, I drank the wine in the glasses when we were done for the day. ☺️ whew!

Lesson from Keith. Be flexible and it will all come together. Great advice and I carry with me still…especially for weddings!

White and green are our fourth color palette for our pre-designed palette. We did more white florals for weddings this past year than ever before. 95% of all our weddings were all white.

I would say white had a moment to shine this year. Next year looks to be filled with mixes of colors with some white. I think the classic look of white florals will never go out of style for any wedding or event. It really does shine in photos.
