We have to announce that our scheduled show for this Saturday, November 15th has been canceled due to illness. We will reschedule Anna for sometime in 2026 and we are sorry for this delay.

Next week the Summit of the Ozarks Theater Group will take over the Owen Theatre for a week of set building, rehearsals, and play presentations. They always do a fantastic job at all of it and we encourage you to come to town and take in a stage play. They will be providing us with more information so watch this page. Also, we believe they will post some information in the marquis box at the front of The Owen Theatre.

After Thanksgiving, The Owen will bring movies to be presented the first Satuday of December, the same day as the Christmas Parade. We will be showing family-friendly movies throughout the day before the parade that evening.

We hope the cancelation does not negatively impact your plans. We invite and encourage you to support your local community theater group. Come to town and join us for some community doings, movies, and a parade on December 6th.

This is always one of our favorite shows. Molly's talent is fully on display. And, we are truly tickled that she chose to have a video made while here. We absolutely appreciate it. We miight be a bit biased but we believe our little venue allows the artist to truly shine.

Molly performs her original song, Voices, for the Historic Owen Theater concert series. Vidoegraphy by Tim Schirman.

A final reminder to come out to The Owen Theatre this evening and catch a local, young artist on our stage for the first time. We have visited his website and listened to a few songs and we believe you will enjoy this evening of music. Doors open at 6:00 PM and the show begins at 7:00. Admission is $10.

Owen friends, taking another opportunity to remind you that local artist Logan Lee Williams will be making his first appearance on our stage. This young man hails from our neigboring town of Fordland so we hope a lot of folks from his area make their way the short 10 - 12 miles on east to see Logan in a venue with a great sound system, a pro sound guy, and a building with natural sonic qualities.

The doors will open at 6:00 PM on Saturday, November 8th with the show beginning at 7:00. Come on out. We have popcorn, soft drinks, water, and candy at the concession stand. Hope to see a lot of Seymour and Fordland folks make their way to The Owen.

We will be posting an official event on this page sometime today but we wanted to give you a "heads up" that Logan Lee Williams will be performing at Seymour's Owen Theatre on Saturday, November 8th, 2025. Logan is an area musician with a small band accompanying him. More details to follow. Make plans to come out for a fun evening.

We had a great show last night with Cindy and Mark: The Creek Rocks. They provided a solid two hours of entertainment plus another half-hour or so visiting wiith fans and signing some posters. We had stated in an earlier post that we love these guys and surely do. We have followed them for years, when they were band members and when they did some solo work and after they became a dynamic duo.

They kept us entertained with stories about the history of the songs and how they came to learn them. They were stoked about their Fellowship at the Library of Congress and shared some of that with us. We will post some more video later but we wanted to post this one. It is one of our favorite songs they perform. It is an original, written by Cindy and she has a beautiful little story that provides some background. We will not share it here but you should definitely catch them somewhere and hear her tell the tale.

Excuse the poor quality, shot with a phone but you should be able to hear the artistry.

Enjoy.....

You should make plans to come to our little community on Saturday, October 25th. The Owen Theatre will welcome The Creek Rocks, Mark and Cindy back to our stage. It has been a couple of years since we have had the pleasure of bringing them to town so it will be a good opportunity to catch up as they play music, tell some stories, and share some of their experiences with The Library of Congress Artists in Resonance and other things they have done representing the Ozarks in our Nation's capital. The doors will open at 6:00 PM and the show will start at 7:00. Admission is $10.

Perhaps come to Seymour, Missouri a little early and check out one of the local restaurants or one of the fast food places for supper. We have Old Depot Coffee Co. for someone wanting a coffee based drink. We also have Axeheadbeverageco for local beer and mead. Both are family-friendly and unique.

At the theatre we will have typical concessions. Candy, popcorn, and soft drinks.

Spend and hour or two checking out the community and then get ready to listen to Mark and Cindy perform old songs as well as a lot of originals. Hope to see you there.

Remember to come out to Seymour's Historic Owen Theatre this Saturday, October 25th to catch The Creek Rocks for an evening of music and stories. Mark and Cindy will be performing some of their original music as well as some covers of old-timey folk songs. They often have a story that gives some insight into the song or maybe just one of Cindy's jokes.

These two are Artists in Resonance at the Library of Congress and have also represented the Ozarks at other events in the nation's capital. They have been guests of the Smithsonian during some of their folklore and historical events. They also play all over Missouri, Arkansas, and the entire mid-west. Additionally, each summer they play several featured dates at Silver Dollar City. A busy duo and we are always tickled to get them back to The Owen.

If you want to spend an extremely enjoyable evening in a comfortable and unique venue with great sonic qualities (thanks Mark), come see us. The doors will open at 6:00 PM and the show will begin at 7:00. Admission is Ten Dollars.

Final reminder that you should come out to The Owen tonight for an enjoyable evening of music and fun. One More Dollar is an area trio that has a very unique sound and style. They play a lot in the area but our venue is a great place to hear them and without distractions.

This Saturday, October 11th. Doors open at 6:00 PM. Show will begin at 7:00. Admission is $10. You will not be disappointed.

Cindy Wolf and Mark Bilyeu - The Creek Rocks - will return to The Owen Theatre Saturday, October 25th. These guys do a mix of musical types but are often focused on old-times songs from our past. Still, they do a lot of originals, with both of them being songwriters. Great instrumental work. Awesome vocals and harmonies. They also have a great sense of humor.

They are Artists in Resonance at the Library of Congress and recently performed there. We are certain they will be happy to share some of that story.

We like these guys. Mark and Cindy were our opening act when we held our grand re-opening of your local venue. Come join us.

Last Saturday Molly Healey brought a young guitarist to sit in on a couple of songs. This young man is a junior in high school and we believe we were witness to the beginning of greatness. Jude Lewellen, we were tickled to meet you and believe you will go far....And Molly, thank you for the introduction.

Had a great time at The Owen tonight with Molly Healey bringing her A-game. Just a sample......
