I'm so proud of our little munchkin. Lila tastes for her next belt in karate this past week and passed. She's officially an orange/ blue degree belt!

Happy 4th! It's been a while since I posted any face paint photos. Lila was at a friend's house this morning so she wasn't here for me to paint on... so I painted on myself and when she got home we swiped on some glitter after her bath. Glitter comes off easy using a business card so we don't have to wah her face all over again.

When your little one comes up to you and say, I want to be a rainbow tiger!....well....ta-da! We r getting ready to eat dinner too...so therefore, no black centerline on the upper lip...lol

Trying out a couple of new designs...dinosaurs...the little brontosaurus is a bit "girly" for my liking...so I need to work on that one, lol, and the horns need to be a bit further apart on the triceratops...other than that, I like them for my first time trying to work out the design. 🦕

Making sure I remember how to paint the unicorn head, and not just the unicorn crown... it was easy peasy, lol. Glad I remembered that one without any practice needed, yay!

Tried a new Spiderman design, and practiced one of my favorite Spiderman designs (inspired by Ariel Paints) - don't mind my smudge on the new design, I changed my mind at the last minute and didn't get all the black off...lol...

Used the same little fairy stencil as the other design I did tonight, but this time changed it up to include a butterfly/ fairy wing on one side and flower petals on the other side.

Trying to get more proficient at stencils, and thought this little fairy would be a good one to practice with. Just a cute little mask with some tear drops and petals and the little fairy in the middle.

I wanted to practice two designs tonight, at the same time...so I ended up with a monster/dragon face on one side and a flower butterfly/faerie wings on the other - really interesting from the front, ha ha. But I like how each individual side turned out.

I haven't done the famed pirate design for boys yet...never had a request for one... but I thought I should have at least done one in practice just in case... but I didn't want just the patch and curly mustache that I've seen... so I did a little parrot friend for the pirate...lol

Two different eye designs... one is a super fun rainbow tribal inspired cheetah... one is a pretty teardrop over some pretty swirled colors... definitely different. I'm starting to feel that muscle memory return, lol.

Oh boy...I can definitely tell it has been a while since I have done this... with everything that happened this past year, I took a break from face painting, even at home. But... it's time to start getting that muscle memory back. I don't use stencils very much... and with all the cool stencils they have come out with for face painting in the past few years...I thought I should start figuring out how I like to use them. I tried something new with the stencil tonight...tried the star blend powder and then painted over it after I lifted the stencil. I think if I had changed the colors up on the fairy I would like it better. I wanted somewhat of a stained glass look... then kept playing with the outside design and ended up with flower petals around her. Nice, but I got distracted from my original idea and now it's not as cohesive as I would have liked.

Playing around with face paint again...getting back into the swing of it...hoping I can start doing parties again soon! It helps when you have a cute model like Lila, lol. Don't mind her crazy hair...she tried to brush it without detanglee and water...and didn't want help. 😂🤪❤
