Sammy LaVert will always be remembered and we are so thankful for his contributions to our festival. Sammy and Marie dedicated time for 600 young boys and girls to experience a longhorn steer demonstration that will last a lifetime. Just one example of his love for kids. Marie LeVert we love you. We are praying for God's comfort for all who knew him.

This year's American Mule and Bluegrass Festival 2024 brought the perfect mix of family fun, mule showmanship, and good old-fashioned bluegrass—even with a little rain! The showers couldn’t dampen the excitement! From toe-tapping music to thrilling mule performances, we had an unforgettable time with our festival family.

A highlight of the festival was the Homestead Talks, where experts shared their knowledge on sustainable living, farming, and self-sufficiency. Attendees left with new skills, fresh ideas, and plenty of inspiration for homestead living.

The Junior Mule Skinner Program was a hit with the younger crowd! Kids got hands-on with mules, learning the ropes (literally) with mule packing and taking part in activities that taught them the ins and outs of beekeeping and blacksmithing. It was wonderful to see the next generation of mule enthusiasts in action!

Despite the rain, the covered areas, indoor events, and lively spirit kept everyone smiling. The mules dazzled us with their skill, the bluegrass tunes never stopped, and the communities participation made this year’s festival truly special.

A big thank you to our volunteers, staff, participants, and, of course, our festival-goers. We’re already counting down the days to next year!

BUT we forgot to take photos! With all that fun, we only got a few photos. So, if you came and enjoyed the festivities, can you send us some of your photos through Messenger? We appreciate it!
