This week we are featuring our Quiet Camping area, also known as Weary Land!
Here you have the choice of an open field or wooded area accessible by vehicle (if it's been rainy recently beware you may need 4WD). There are roughly 10 sites in the woods that have been groomed and have primitive fire pits built. The field area is RV accessible while the wooded area is only vehicle (car/truck) accessible. This area tends to be quieter and away from the hub-bub of the farm and other campers, although you can sometimes hear the clip-clop of Amish buggies at night!

Today is World Environment Day and we wanted to give you a behind the scenes look at a part of our regenerative agriculture practices and understand what we mean when we say that our organic chicken is pastured.
Our chickens are kept in a large chicken tractor out in the field with fresh water, organic feed and access to seeds, insects, and earthworms; they spend all of their time on grass, out in fresh air and sunshine.
We move them twice a day to ensure that they are consistently on fresh grass which also allows the ground to rest and rejuvenate in between grazing. The chicken droppings act as a natural compost giving back to the soil's natural biome and creating a cycle of regenerative agriculture that just isn't found in factory farming, replenishing the nutrients in the soil that were used during grazing!
Pasture raised chicken is not only healthier to consume, it’s healthier for the planet, healthier for the chickens and tastes better too!
