Renovation Rainbow Casting Call:
Title: Casting LGBTQ+ and Allies for New Reality Show in Shreveport, Louisiana
Are you passionate about making a difference? Do you want to be part of an exciting renovation project that builds not just a home, but a stronger community?

We are casting LGBTQ+ individuals and allies for "Renovation Rainbow," a groundbreaking new reality series that will follow a diverse group of people as they transform a historic house and their own lives in the process.

We’re looking for participants who:
-Identify as LGBTQ+ or are strong allies
-Are willing to live in Shreveport, Louisiana, during the renovation project
-Have a personal story to share and are open to personal growth
-Are ready to contribute their talents and skills to renovating a 100-year-old home
-Are committed to building a safe, inclusive space for the local LGBTQ+ community
-No prior renovation experience necessary—just a positive attitude and willingness to learn!

I wore my Stop Project 2025 Tshirt and my I’m voting for Kamala, not the felon cap to the pool for an invigorating cool water swim. I want to keep swimming in the Fall because the cold water is healthy. I lived in Europe for 20 years. Cold water swimming is a popular activity with known health benefits in other parts of the world. I’m starting my 10 days of service to the Pitties of Northwest Louisiana and Northwest Arkansas. Settling in to watch Inside the Mind of a Dog with Scooby Doo, on Netflix.

Watering the house plants today, and I think I have enough to donate some to Rainbow House, assuming all goes well with foundation inspection today. We'll be furnishing the house with donated furniture, etc. So if you need to de-clutter then we'll happily collect your donated items. 😀

Closing date on the property is Sep 13th.
Clearing and Cleaning party on Sep. 14th.

Tonight I host a special event for q***r women. If you know someone who would be interested, then please share this with them. Those who want to make a match for dating or friendship are invited to join the open table at 6:30pm tonight.

Everyone else is invited to join at 7:30pm for our Q***r Mix-Her, Summer Party. This Women centered mixer is held the last Saturday of each month at The Korner Lounge. Hope to see you there. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ Allies are always welcome.

Looking forward to closing out Pride month today with the Christ Church of Hope Pride service and celebration potluck with gospel karaoke this morning and the potluck karaoke Pride party at The Korner Lounge tonight. It’s been a wonderful Pride month, Thanks to PACE, ShrevePride, Korner Lounge, Q***r Mix-Her R.W. Norton Art Gallery, Marilyn’s Place, Bears, Ernie’s, and all of the other great establishments and organizations in Shreveport who hosted numerous Pride events throughout the month. I am so Proud of Shreveport’s LGBTQ community and our wonderful caring allies for making this the most event filled Pride Month that I have ever experienced. I have lived in many large cities around the world that have much larger populations, but none of them had nearly as many fun events for Pride Month as our wonderful community here in Shreveport, Louisiana. We are a medium sized city, but our Q***r community is better than what I experienced in London and Amsterdam where the celebration is just one or two days. Happy Pride y’all. I hope to see you today at the closing events. 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈😘
