We devoted today's choir class to sharing the gift of music, as our students performed carols for the elementary school! They thoughtfully included songs that the younger students will be singing next week, creating a beautiful moment of shared preparation. The entire department is looking forward to sharing our music with the Shullsburg community next week!

The Junior High & High School bands have been very busy lately!

Both bands represented the Shullsburg community while performing the National Anthem at Dubuque Fighting Saints hockey games! All students were required to memorize their music for this performance and play it from memory in front of hundreds of people!

Join our junior high school band on December 5 @ 7:00 PM as we play the national anthem for this Dubuque Fighting Saints game! $5 of every ticket purchase returns back to our music program. Our students will be located in the Offensive Zone (Section 111) of the arena.

Early last week our third grade class had the awesome opportunity to go visit the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra. We learned about the different instrument families and listened to some amazing movie music, all in a beautiful historic building in downtown Dubuque!

Today our High School Band honored local veterans by performing the National Anthem during the posting of the colors at the Veterans Day ceremony.

Congratulations to our three music department students recognized as the three winners of the Patriot’s Pen Essay Contest, sponsored by the Shullsburg VFW and American Legion!
