🤩VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT🤩

Shelly has been coming to camp for 42 years! She started coming shortly after coming to know the Lord at a young age. She has been a camper, JST (fun-fact it wasn't called JST at the time...they were waitresses and dishfish 😊, and Counselor!) What is really impressive is that in those 42 years she has only missed 2 summers! That is truly a commitment that we are super grateful for! She has instilled the value of camp into her children and now her grandchildren! Thank you Shelly for your service! We love and appreciate you!

Each week is full of exciting experiences that allow children to thrive in the natural camp setting and learn about God’s Word and love through His creation. Campers will develop healthy relationships with peers and adult mentors through creative storytelling, music, games, swimming, hiking and canoeing! Come make memories that will last a lifetime!

🌞It is never too late to start thinking about Summer Camp! It'll be upon us sooner than you realize! We are going to start giving you some "tips" for campers and volunteers that will help you be prepared when summer arrives!

TIP #1 - For Campers AND Volunteers:
PLAN NOW! Take a look at our schedule (posted below) and then look at your calendar and plan which week works for you! Please prayerfully consider which week and/or weeks you can be a part of! We can't wait to see you!

June 27-30: ASCEND Training
July 1-5 : Family Camp 1
July 8-12: Family Camp 2
July 14 -19: Junior Camp
July 21-26: Teen Camp

The Tabb family are no strangers to camp! Amy has been coming to camp since she was a child and has continued to bring her own children as well. She and Dan are missionaries in Ireland but still find the time to come and serve at camp! They have instilled that in their children as well, who are finding ways to serve faithfully! We are so thankful for them and their faithfulness! Thank you Tabb Family!

On the First Sunday of Advent, we light THE CANDLE OF HOPE. We have hope because God is ever faithful and will keep the promises made to us. Our HOPE comes from God.

Today we celebrate Rosa Parks Day! On December 1, 1955 she boarded a bus in Montgomery, AL. As the bus began to fill she refused to give up her seat and stand up for herself and African Americans being treated unfairly. This prompted her long and impactful role in the Civil Rights movement!

Have you heard about our JST program? This is a great way for our younger generation to get involved in camp and get a taste of what ministry is like! Young people that are ages 13-15 can come to camp for a whole week! They will serve during Junior Camp, helping with meals and in the kitchen, but they will also have free time to bond as a team and to grow together spiritually. This summer will be our third summer for the ASCEND Program! This is a great opportunity for young people to come together and serve. We like to think of it as mini missions trip! If you are 14+ we encourage you to start thinking now about joining this team!

It's never too early to start thinking about your summer!! As many of you know, our summer program relies heavily on our volunteer staff! We absolutely COULD NOT run summer camp without each and every person that helps! There are positions for counselors, kitchen staff, maintenance, crafters and camp store workers! If you are interested please reach out to any of our staff and let us know! We are always so blessed by our volunteers and we know you will be equally blessed for serving God in this way!

🍂WE ARE THANKFUL🍂

We are thankful for the leadership that God has provided over the years for Pine Brook! There have been too many people to name individually that have come alongside camp and led us to where we are today. We couldn't be more grateful for the foundations that were built many years ago and for how those same foundations have grown stronger and sturdier as we rely on Christ to do the work He has called us to do! We are so appreciative of the past and current leaders that keep camp running smoothly!
