Nothing like a nice 6"-7" of snow to complicate everything for the day. But I got all the snow off the smoker and went to work.
A new lean-to is already in the works , because this sucks. It never fails that if we are running the big smoker , we are getting some form of moisture that day!

But folks gotta eat, so here we are!!

Last week we had the absolute privilege of getting invited to cook at a deer camp for two different nights for some pretty amazing people. They were very welcoming and gracious. We even got the nod to come back next year and do it again.

We followed that up with a wedding Saturday night that took the whole crew to make happen. 130 ribeyes and 400 shrimp as the main course. We also knocked out a grazing table. This was a test run for more events to come . We killed it!

And last but not least we catered a Thanksgiving luncheon for Peoples Bank & Trust at their main building in Troy .

This is just the start of our kickoff for the holiday season schedule . It only gets more hectic from here til January.
Wish us luck, we're gonna need it .

Life is wild sometimes.

As a youngster , I tried my best to avoid
Mr. Green Jeans , although we still had our run ins .

Now as an adult , you're catering a deer camp , and the game warden shows up to hang out and eat dinner .
I spent a good portion of the evening visiting with him, great guy with even better stories.

However, as soon as he walked in the door , my instinct was to run! Old habits die hard. 😂

When you have us cater a surf and turf dinner , we provide real silverware.
This silverware is hand rolled by my amazing wife , piece by piece.

Did you also know that she does this while watching Hallmark Christmas movies pretending she's just some damsel working in her hometown dive bar and barely getting by . Just waiting for Mr. Right to come walking through the door because his G wagon broke down outside on his way to his big meeting to save his fathers company and he instantly falls in love with her and sweeps her off her feet.

So every time you throw our silverware away instead of putting it back in the provided container, you're killing my wifes dream !

Don't be a dream killer!

We were able to take a few weekends off this month before we roll in to our busiest time of the year. It was a much needed break for us and I was even able to make it to SD for a few days of hunting.
We kick it off the next couple of weeks with 3 events in one week and it doesn't slow down until the 2nd week in January!

Please keep in mind we are a very small family owned business. So when you call
us in the next few weeks to ask us to cater for you last minute , we may not be available. Dont hate us for it!
It's not because we don't want to cater for you, I promise you that ! We want all the work! It's because we physically can't make it happen.

What a Week!
Last week was one of our busiest yet—four events in just three days!
We kicked things off on Thursday with a 50th anniversary celebration for Professional Rehabilitation Services, featuring a charcuterie grazing table on a massage table (a first for us).
On Friday, we tackled another first: catering lunch for 150 tradesmen right in the middle of the Delmar Loop, as they worked on student housing for Washington University.
Saturday was a double-header with a homecoming dinner and a wedding. Fortunately, they both chose the same menu, which helped streamline the day.
By Sunday, we were definitely feeling it!

Unfortunately, I didn’t get many photos this weekend (and my usual photographer was in school), so here’s me with Brisket in my Charlie Crockett era instead!

Another busy weekend of slanging food to the masses .
Friday we had the opportunity to bring food to the mouths of the folks that bring power to your house at the Cuivre River Electric Cooperative, Inc. employee appreciation day . We even got to setup next to one of our favorite vendor partners ,the ladies at Ramblin’ Rounds , they have the wildest donut creations and lemonade around!

Saturday we catered the Flynn Drilling Company golf tournament at Sun Valley. We followed that up Saturday night with one of our favorite events every year , the Curtis /Price family and friends reunion! A two day extravaganza of sporting events , auction , bags tournament , clay shooting and plenty of food and drinks!
It was a busy weekend , but we loved it!

Congratulations to our employee of the month for August. Skyler Hussey!
Skyler gets a 5 day all expenses paid fishing trip to Arkansas for excelling at his job in the month of August!
Skyler is our head cook and pitmaster, he also does all of the administrative work and scheduling, honestly this company wouldn't function without him!
Congrats Skyler , and tight lines!

You never know where this catering journey will take you. One day you're flipping burgers for a birthday party in a backyard in Lincoln County, the next thing you know you're down in Chesterfield building a massive charcuterie grazing table and dessert bar while Steve Ewing sings and slings hot dogs!
We had the opportunity to build our biggest grazing table yet for the JP3 / Troy Flooring Center grand opening of their new location in Chesterfield . It was over 10' long!!

Thanks to From Scratch By Becca for the assist on the amazing desserts. They were a hit .

Huge thanks to JP3 Kitchen & Bath and Troy Flooring Center for having us out.

I know the name says " BBQ and Tex-Mex", but we can get fancy too!
Our charcuterie grazing tables have been picking up a lot of steam lately. We have quite a few lined in the near future for some grand openings and holiday party's .

I know one of us looks like a roughneck hillbilly and the other is a teenage dirtbag , but I assure you, we bring nothing but class to the grazing table!

Are they cheap ? No
Do they get eaten faster than the time it takes to build them? Always!
Will you make your friends jealous ? Yes.
Will people come up and eat off the board as we are building it? Every. Single. Time!
Do you need one at your next party? Absolutely!

This past weekend was a hectic one for us! We catered 4 events and fed over 425 people In less than 48 hours. This little business of ours is doing bigger and bigger things everyday. This weekend was a true test for us and we crushed it .
It started with a golf tournament for Troy Area Chamber of Commerce on Friday afternoon , we followed that up with a wedding rehearsal dinner at The Lodge at Boulder Lake on Friday night .
Saturday , we had a charcuterie grazing table to build back at the Lodge for a cocktail hour and followed that up by slanging BBQ at another golf tournament. This time for the St Joseph's Men's Club at the Missouri Bluff's Golf Club.
Sunday was a welcome sight to get everything cleaned up ,organized and just relax.
