Jonny Grave - acoustic blues from the Heartland, steeped in the traditions of R.L. Andy Poxon Band – get up and go with this 15-year-old who's writing his own blues songs and has a blues groove of his own! Daryl Davis Band – a Montgomery County local performing nationally with legendary greats such as Chuck Berry – featuring festival MC / WPFW89.3fm "Don't Forget the Blues" Friday host, Ida Campbell. DC Blues Society Band - DCBS brings you Clarence "The Bluesman" Turner and more entertainment coming from the local blues scene! Mary Shaver and the Smokin' Polecats – Muddy Waters style with a female touch – featuring Pete Ragusa (Nighthawks drummer for 35 years). Today is the 15th Silver Spring Blues Festival at Downtown Silver Spring from 10am-10pm

Bring your festival chairs and dance shoes early for The 15th Annual Silver Spring Blues Festival and enjoy the food and beverages from the nearby restaurants and visit the Vendors in the afternoon.

The Silver Spring Blues Festival Blues Block Party takes place on Ellsworth Drive at Downtown Silver Spring, Saturday, June 15 10am-10pm with award-winning performers who tour throughout the US and Europe.

Please note that our SSBF Festival Day schedule changed. Phil Wiggins (RIP) was on the lineup at 5pm with Memphis Gold and we're sad Phil won't be on the SSBF Stage. SSTCi and Archie Edwards Blues Heritage Foundation are holding Tributes and Phil will be remembered in many ways during SSBF Week and Festival Day.

Silver Spring Blues Festival was deluged with rain in 2015 when headliner Solomon Hicks (aka Lil' B.B.) was getting ready to take the stage at Silver Spring Blues Festival.

Without any hesitation or sound support, Solomon Hicks quickly set up at McGinty's Public House and dancers relocated inside for great .

So professional at such a young age (he`s 22 in 2020) and experienced and entertaining - vote for King Solomon Hicks via Blues Blast Magazine
