Fancy a hike? Climbing Mount Vesuvius is less daunting than it sounds, with regular shuttle buses that take you part of the way up the volcano. From there, pop on some sunscreen and head towards the summit to take in some incredible views!

So many iconic spots to visit when you travel to Italy. Maybe the most famous is in Rome, the colosseum! This incredible structure is almost 2000 years old and well worth a visit. Pro tip: if you're coming to the Amalfi Coast Festival, fly into Rome and do a little sightseeing before you come to the coast!

Coming to the coast for the Festival? There are TONS of amazing little paths all around Maiori and the rest of the coast. This particular snapshot is from a stairway down from Ravello to the town of Minori. Such a beautiful walk - and much easier on the way down than up!

Proseguono, a Maiori, i concerti dei nostri giovani talenti pianistici. Un nuovo “Young Artist Recital” è in programma questa sera (giovedì 21 luglio, ore 21) nella chiesa di San Domenico, dove si esibiranno Seyoung Park, Naomi Wong, Abigail Goblick, Soyun Chung, Yijng Xu, Iris Natt, Raymond Shon, Daniel Che, Kayden Kelly. Tra le opere in programma, brani di Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Liszt, Chopin.

Altre giovani promesse del pianoforte suoneranno a Maiori domenica 24 luglio (ore 21), a Palazzo Mezzacapo.

Gli appuntamenti sono tutti ad ingresso libero.

“FACULTY GALA” A NAPOLI CON ILLUSTRI PIANISTI
DAGLI USA E DA SEOUL.

Il pluripremiato Jerome Lowenthal, in cattedra alla leggendaria Juilliard School di New York, ed altri illustri pianisti e professori dagli Usa e da Seoul, in concerto mercoledì 20 luglio nella Basilica di San Giovanni Maggiore a Napoli (ore 19, ingresso libero) per il 25° Amalfi Coast Music & Arts Festival.

Dopo due anni di stop per l’emergenza sanitaria, il festival organizzato dal Center of Musical Studies di Washington è tornato presentando anche a Napoli alcuni esponenti della sua prestigiosa “faculty” pianistica, impegnati in costiera per le masterclass che hanno richiamato studenti da tutto il mondo.

Oltre a Lowenthal, si esibiranno a Napoli James Giles (Northwestern University), Thomas Rosenkranz (University of Missouri), Hee Sung Joo (Seoul National University), Michael Coonrod (Interlochen Academy of Music), Angelina Gadeliya (University of Connecticut), Gideon Rubin (The Colburn School), in un repertorio prevalentemente dedicato a Liszt (Ave Maria “Le campane di Roma”, “Widmung”, “Mignons Lied”) e Scarlatti (Tre Sonate).

Il festival, che da inizio mese fa base a Maiori con la sua community internazionale di artisti, proseguirà fino al 29 luglio in diverse location della Costiera Amalfitana, alternando appuntamenti con rinomati pianisti e giovani talenti della tastiera.

Tutti i concerti sono ad ingresso libero.
