Happy ! The first relic from the original time capsule I wanted to share is this amazingly detailed, Hand-written “History of Jackson Hall Memorial Association” which is dedicated on July 24th, 1937 and put into the time capsule!

I’m going to do my best to transcribe this text in the future and post it, but for now here is the history of how Jackson Hall Scout Hall came to be!

Hello Kitsap Community and friends!

I’ve been sitting on some great photos from something very special: a time capsule from the Scout Hall! It was was removed 30 years ago today, April 15th 1989, during the Silverdale Centennial celebrations.

It was replaced with a new time capsule, and I’ll be sharing photos from inside the original time capsule for in the future! The Scout Hall has been a place for many memories over the years, and this time capsule is a great peek at some of the earliest memories it has been apart of. I can’t wait to share these photos over the coming weeks.

Summer is on the way, are you looking for a family-friendly, all ages event for you and your little ones? The Silverdale Rainbow Girls are hosting a Bingo Night fundraiser on Tuesday MAY 29th, from 6-8pm at the Jackson Hall Scout Hall in Silverdale.

The cost is $5 per person, which includes a hotdog meal, drink, and one bingo card. Bring a canned good for our Little Pantry Project and get a second Bingo Card for free! You can get additional Bingo cards for a donation. The proceeds from our fundraiser go to help run our assembly.

We have tons of prizes, including a lot of Seahawks and 12th Fan gear to get you ready for when Football season starts!

Happy Throw Back Thursday!

Did you know that the Scout Hall has a time capsule?

Technically... we have two! Here is the original time capsule which was removed from the building in 1989 during Silverdale’s centennial celebration! A second time capsule was placed back in the building and rededicated with a new plaque that same year!

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be posting photos and memorabilia that was left in the original time capsule in 1936. There are lots of very cool and interesting items to explore.

Happy Throw Back Thursday!

Here is a quick peek at the History of the Scout Hall. It’s all thanks to a man who had a love for his community here in Silverdale, and wanted to leave a legacy behind for future generations. Jackson Hall willed his estate to the local community, and our beloved Scout Hall is the result!

The following pictures are from a booklet that was made to tell the history of the Scout Hall, as well as the Jackson Hall Memorial Association’s efforts to restore the Scout Hall’s exterior historic logs, and update the interior.

🇺🇸 Do you have an American Flag that is faded, worn, or aged and would like it to be respectfully retired? 🇺🇸

The Jackson Hall Scout Hall is proud of host this "Flag Retirement Box" in our parking lot, where you can safely deposit your American Flags. This unique, repurposed Mail Box was part of an Eagle Scout Project by local Boy Scouts who meet at the Scout Hall to provide a safe place for the community to drop off American Flags.

🇺🇸 The Boy Scouts will retire all American Flags in a respectful manner following U.S. guidelines. 🇺🇸

Did you know that a variety of groups and organizations call Jackson Hall their home? Each group to help maintain and clean the Hall a few times a year, doing their part to ensure they leave the Scout Hall better than they found it.

Here we have the Rainbow Girls of Silverdale Assembly #155 cleaning our new tile flooring that was installed downstairs recently. The Rainbow Girls have called the Scout Hall their home for over 50 years!
