This past Saturday I had the privilege of being a Diamond Level Sponsor of the Miss Rodeo South Dakota, Inc. State Title Pageant as the contestants competed to be the 2025 Miss Rodeo South Dakota. My flowers were part of the beautifully curated Fashion Show coordinated by one of my best friends, Mikayla Schwedhelm of Schwede Style. It was such a fun weekend meeting all the other sponsors, volunteers and committee members that have a hand in keeping this organization going, 65 years strong!! Thank you for letting me be a small part.

Style so good you are going to want to take some home! And for the first time ever YOU CAN! This year each contestant will partake in a Purse Auction. There they will sell a purse they have put together based on personality while appealing to event goers. Raise your hands and raise them often! Be a part of one of the largest fundraisers for the Miss Rodeo South Dakota Incorporated! We are a certified nonprofit!

Bring your family and friends out for a wonderful afternoon meal by Backyard BBQ 🍖 with ticket purchase- $30 for VIP, $25 for a general admission seat at a table (last day to purchase these presale tickets is October 30th!)

I know I’ve featured .teas and ‘s wedding before but how could I not share some more love for these faces, this view, the details.

This day was full of hauling flower buckets up and down a literal hiking trail from the parking lot above to the river below. If you are local to the Sioux Falls area, I’m sure you know the Palisades in all their glory so you can imagine how many steps were on my Fitbit before the wedding even started. The only thing that saved me was the mild spring weather that day when lord knows it could’ve been 35 degrees and raining or 80 degrees without a cloud in sight in April. 🙏🏼

I loved this little western wedding from all the small leather details and accessories to witnessing the intimate nature of the ceremony before heading downtown Sioux Falls for the big reception and dance. The Reynolds are special people to me but what made it even more sentimental for me and my own cowboy is that the ceremony location was the almost the exact same spot that Sean proposed to me the year before. Need less to say, I was in my feels for more than one reason that day! It was so perfect watching our friends also share in their love and make cherished memories there.

I’ve been getting so many inquiries for 2025 and I can’t thank you all enough! So many more beautiful weddings ahead and I’m so grateful to be back to flowers full time. Digging right in and eager to keep growing in 2025 and beyond.

Happy Monday Morning, little lovelies 🤍 I have been 30 years old for a whole week already. Wasn’t it just my birthday? Anyway, I am Grace, owner and lead designer for Olive & Grace Floral Company. I’m in my seventh full wedding season and currently booking for 2025.

It’s no shock that I love flowers. I truly do. But I also love baking and reading and wine and my cats. I love going for walks with my little doggie, Stevie, too. I’m a classically trained harpist and have played since I was seven years old. My best friend and biggest supporter is my husband, Sean, but some people call him Squeak. We enjoy camping and hiking although we’ve barely had time to do any of that this year. We’ve been renovating and remodeling our 1960s Ranch Style house for the last year and we are exhausted but so so cozy.

I started Olive & Grace shortly after I graduated college (Augustana University Alum!!) and it’s grown into something so much more than I ever imagined at the time. It’s truly become my heart’s passion. Even though I don’t run a large operation, nor can I claim that am I the best designer around, I care so much about all of it. From the nervous energy when I worry if the bride will like the color scheme, to the sense of relief when the wedding is delivered ahead of schedule. When the mother of the bride tears up at the sight of the flowers, I tear up too. The late nights, the cold studio, the always on pot of coffee. It’s truly engrained in me now. I’ve made huge mistakes but I’ve learned from them. I’m collecting new knowledge every day.

In my 30th year, I’m diving into flowers full-time. I’m giving it 110%. I’ve always had another source of income, from working seasonal hospitality in the Montana winters, to part-time gigs at the mall, and most recently a full-time position downtown in finance. But this year will be different. We’re really doing this.

I’m working on an even bigger project for 2025 but I’ll keep that to myself for now. I’m so glad you follow me. I’m so glad you found my page. I’m just a girl, playing around with flowers, who loves weddings and creating, ready to take on her 30s. Let’s do this 🤍

With the help of Trevor Reinesch and his amazing leather-working skills on the custom bouquet wrap, this was one of my favorite challenges yet!

Plus the scenery, that hay ring arbor— that’s what Olive&Grace dreams are made of!! I danced my little feet off on Saturday night!!
