Here’s to 5 years !
5 whole years of spreading love (and cheese) all over the Sioux Empire 😭If I’m honest… if you asked me 5 years ago if I thought I would make it this far , the answer would have been no. I started this business in a church kitchen as a single mom with nothing to her name, barely surviving the day to day, desperate to find herself again after a terribly abusive relationship. I was only told what I couldn’t do or be for years… and that has been the fuel to my fire. My number one goal has and always will be to show my kids, and anyone else out there who has had to walk through hard things that you absolutely can follow your dreams and you can be great at it. There’s a statistic out there that says 50% of all small businesses won’t survive their first 5 years. We made it 😭and I couldn’t be any more proud. Love conquers all things , and that is what we are rooted in and will continue to Cultivate around here ;) It’s fun to look back and see how not only my business has grown, but my family as well 😭Thank you so much to everyone who helped me celebrate tonight , and thank you to every single one of you who has ordered a board, allowed me to be a part of your special events, or even just encouraged me. It means the absolute world to me. Grazing Table setups are probably my favorite thing to do for a few reasons :
1. I never have a game plan and honestly I hardly ever know what the space and area will look like when I get there . To some people this sounds horrifying , but it’s exciting for me.
2. It’s a lot like painting a picture .. I start with a few things and see where it takes me.
3. Giving gifts is one of my love languages and I absolutely love people’s reaction to the final product , each is different & so to me it’s personal.
4. I don’t see many people lol it’s mostly me alone , so sometimes I get to interact and meet new people , and that’s fun!
It is always an honor to set a table up for someone, chances are they are celebrating something…and to be chosen to be a part of that , it’s not something I take lightly 🥰
