Hand Up Foundation is a self supported ministry focused on humanitarian efforts near and far. Our mission is to instill a sense of responsibility and passion to help those in need while sharing Gods word.
Fundraising
As a member of the Board of Directors, you are expected to actively participate in the fundraising efforts. This includes seeking out potential funding opportunities, initiating relationships with donors, sponsors, and community members. Your engagement in these efforts is crucial to the sustainability and growth of the Foundation ensuring we can continue to serve our community and fulfill our missions.
Additionally, Board members are expected to prioritize Hand Up Foundation in our philanthropic efforts. In order to credibly solicit contributions from foundations, organizations, and individual donors, it is essential that all Board members make an annual contribution that reflects their capacity. This 100% participation is crucial for maintaining credibility and demonstrating the Board’s commitment to the Foundation’s success.
Board terms/participation
Hand Up Foundation’s Board Members will serve a two-year term to be eligible for re-appointment. Board meetings will be held quarterly and any other meetings will be held in coordination with full board meetings. Board members also have opportunities to go onmissuon trips in the USA and abroad.
Job Description
As a Member of the Board of Directors, you will be instrumental in shaping the strategic direction of the organizations missions. You will oversee fundraising efforts, spiritual outreach, and local and regional outreach for gift distribution programs.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide governance and oversight for the organization's operations.
* Contribute to the development of the strategic plan and monitor its ex*****on for fundraising.
* Ensure the financial stability and accountability of the organization.
* Advocate for the organization's mission and engage in community outreach.
* Attend and actively participate in regular board meetings and relevant committee meetings.
Qualifications
* Proven leadership experience in a board role or similar capacity.
* Strong commitment to the organization's mission and strategic objectives.
* Experience in governance, finance, fundraising, and/or nonprofit management.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to think critically and engage in constructive dialogue with other board members.
* Event planning and implementation experience.
* ability to dedicate 5-10 hours weekly.
* Strong desire to help those in need!
* Spiritual background and follower of Jesus Christ.
