Happy 2024!!!! We are so excited to host our couples at the barn this year!

It seems like the New Year just arrived and we are already over halfway through January! I just took the Christmas tree down last weekend. Maybe I’m feeling this way because we didn’t have any snow for Christmas?! Winter has definitely arrived now!

How is this the very last day of 2022 already?! Gosh, time flies! Thank you to all of our 2022 couples…you made it a great year here at the barn!!! Wishing you all a year filled with love, health, happiness, and prosperity in 2023❤️

We have a special wedding coming up at the barn this weekend💛. Pictured below is my friend and former co-worker Tonya and I at my wedding. Tonya painted our cake toppers for us for our wedding eleven years ago. And now her daughter Adrianna will be getting married here at the barn! We are so excited!!

It was so heartwarming to see this couple be authentically themselves on their wedding day. Jesse’s daily choice of footwear are his Muck Boots, and so that is what he wore!

Such a good reminder of how important it is to just be yourself!!!

Brooke & Noah were married on a windy fall day along the shores of Lake Superior. They celebrated their love for each other with a reception here at the barn. That day was ONE year ago already!!! Since that day they have shared many adventures together including moving across the country! We have enjoyed following along with your story and we can’t wait to see what you do next🙂. Happy 1st Anniversary Mr. & Mrs. Miller!!!!

Our 2021 wedding season has come to a close. It’s bittersweet to watch the tent come down for the last time and to put all the dishes and the things into storage for the winter.

Reflecting back, I have to say that 2021 was a great season!!! We were blessed with the nicest couples who brought their own styles to the barn to create beautiful weddings (not to mention we got to meet and work with some awesome people)!! Don’t worry, just because our season is over doesn’t mean we won’t keep sharing photos!🙂

To our couples, thank you for choosing the barn, we were honored to have you and your guests here!!!

Lastly, we have to mention the vendors that we had the pleasure of working with or that helped our couple’s in some way this season. We have the BEST people in the wedding industry right here in the U.P. (we even got to work with some from the L.P. this year)! You all help to make dreams come true…thank you for all that you do!

It’s Steve & Aubrey’s wedding day today!!! Last year they were forced to change their wedding plans because of the pandemic. They held a small ceremony and dinner one year ago. Today they celebrate their one year anniversary with a vow renewal and reception! We can’t wait!!!

I was like a kid on Christmas Day when I received a copy of Jon and Tina's wedding photos from By Kimgirl! So what took me so long to share? I was and am still overwhelmed by the number of gorgeous images! Which ones do I share? I would love to share all of them!

I decided to start with Jon and his groomsmen. Jon is a Wisconsin native who came to the U.P. to attend Michigan Tech. The first time I met Jon and Tina, Jon had his notebook, pen, and questions in hand (a true sign that he was a Tech graduate)! He's not only organized, but truly a nice person who loves Tina, his friends and family, his pups, and a truck named "Daisy".

I enjoyed working with this couple and their families and I am forever grateful that they chose the barn!!!
